We didn’t get to enjoy the hotel for what it is we were...

We didn’t get to enjoy the hotel for what it is we were there for a wedding at another resort .we were looked after by the courtesy car there and back .back to the bed definitely needs a new mattress not much sleep.would love to come back but on a pension $300 a night sorry 😢

The Black Spur Inn has been beautifully updated, while still retaining some of the external features of the earlier hotel, and some wonderful,internal features such as the beautiful staircase All of the renovations are wonderful, with the interior of the restaurants having a wonderful ambience, from the spacious dining are to the large comfortable lounge complete with wood fire. The bedroom was so comfortable, with comfortable beds and a clinch, plush carpet , and a modern well fitted bathroom

Great place to stay if you want to explore both sides of it...

Great place to stay if you want to explore both sides of it - Healesville or Marysville. In our 2 days of stay, we could only explore the Healesville side so definitely 4-5 days would be needed to explore the entire area. There's too many places to visit - the sanctuary, chocolaterie, wineries, Maroondah reservoir, waterfalls, valleys, etc.

Narbethong is a place we usually drive through on our way to Eildon, etc. this time we used it as a base for a two night stopover. Great base for visits around the area Marysville, Eildon etc. without the long drive home.

The hotel is in a great location only about 15 minutes from Marysville. It was very quiet and very clean. The room was very country style with a very modern bathroom. The room was big quite big and the bed was very comfortable. There was a complimentary bottle of Sherry and mint chocolate. A Cooked breakfast was included with the room price and was delicious. We also ate dinner at the Inn and it was the best burger I have had .

Very friendly and welcoming staff, lovely home-style food in the restaurant and clean, comfortable room. Older style country pub/hotel so accomodation is maybe on the expensive side for what it is but the staff were so accomodating and the room was spacious and had everything we needed. Lovely way to make a weekend out of the trip to lake mountain for for our family of 4 w 2 young kids.

Amenable owners. Loved Mark and Megan. Amazing ambience. It was wonderful getting away from the impersonal “designer” rooms of conventional motels/hotels. Hearty breakfast and shuttle to local restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we had more time to share a yarn with Mark and Megan’s home cooking on request. Definitely going back.
