Featuring panoramic views of Strahan Harbor, Regatta Point Tavern & Holiday Villas features a bistro, a bar and an on-site liquor store. Most accommodations features sea views.

We chose this accommodation because of its location close to the Strahan WCR Station, however, when we arrived the rail adventure we booked months previous, was cancelled due a derailment and subsequent rail upgrade. Still, this did not spoil our enjoyment of our stay. The location offered awesome views of the bay and the evening sunset was beautiful. The restaurant and bar were very reasonably priced with very good quality meals. Its about a 25 minute walk to the town centre. Would recommend a rental car though if wanting to explore

Nice and quiet town on the Macquarie harbour and the pristine Gordon + Franklin rivers. A full day cruise on the Gordon river is a must. Here we learn about the colonial history of this place, the Huon pine and salmon fish farming on the Macquarie harbour. There are number of good restaurants about but they close fairly early so book your dinner early. There is an IGA supermarket to stock up if you need to do any food shopping. When we were there a few days ago the only petrol station was not available and being repaired - there are unmanned self-service outlets for standard unleaded and diesel but but you need premium unleaded then make sure you fill up on the way prior getting here.

I was very surprised to find the Visitor Information Centre closed when I arrived on a long weekend along with many of the shops. There were quite a lot of tourists in town (2 large coaches full and others in RVs and cars). I went on the Gordon River Cruise which was excellent and the food was great. I ate in The Kitchen and Hamers, both nice.

Strahan is a really pretty little town with some wonderful natural beauty. The harbour was amazing and we took a boat cruise on the Gordon River - recommended 100%! We at dinner ate the pub in town, which was fine, but breakfasts were great at the little cafe in town, best gluten free quiche! Aside from the cruise, a big highlight was the play, "The Ship that Never Was", such a great story, with great actors! Worth the visit and 2 days is the sweet spot!

Beautiful wee town on the Mcquarie Harbour.

Beautiful wee town on the Mcquarie Harbour. Loved the Gordon River Cruise with World Heritage Cruises - great day trip, including Sarah Island stop; really informative guides, lovely lunch, highly recommend. Fabulous dinner at Risby Cove, was not expecting such a quality restaurant in such a small place. Other meal options also good and at this time of year was easy to get a table. Lovely surroundings, would have liked another day to do a few walks in the local area and explore a bit more.

Strahan is a beautiful place but lacks rainy day options.

Strahan is a beautiful place but lacks rainy day options. Aside from the cruise, which was amazing, there’s not much to do. The train is currently closed. The town could do with some cute little gift shops to wander through.

nice small town - would have liked to have longer to go on the boat tour down the river and to the former penal colony we drove to Cradle Mountain - the Western Australia Heritage Museum in Zeehan is a must see the Visitor Center is excellent and should be visited because the information is not in the guide books like Eye Witness

The motel style rooms out the back - don't bother. The recently (11/23) upgraded rooms overlooking the harbour are fantastic. Definately worth the increased rate. All new fitout. Fantastic (fake - but effective) fireplace. Split level layout. Very spacious. Excellent new bathrooms. Stunning view over the small harbour in Strahan in Macquarie Harbour. Very peaceful (silent).

Location was amazing and easy to find. So close to the beach. Collect keys from Motel Strahan - so easy. Comfortable beds. I travelled with a couple and having 2 bathrooms was a welcomed bonus. Small Hand sanitizer bottles in all rooms was a lovely touch. Close to take away shops and also to the main street. Absolutely loved our time there and will certainly come back!

We enjoyed the view of the cove and distant Strahan village from the second storey 'apartment'. Kitchenette was small but adequate. The whole place was a little dated and needed a bit of TLC including the driveways with their potholes. The restaurant has a lovely view but has a small menu and is quite expensive for what and where it is.

Beautiful accommodation, this was our favourite place to stay on our holiday travelling around Tasmania. The bed was sooooo comfortable, the room was beautiful and the common kitchen area was very well equipped. The surrounding property had lovely views of the water and we had a fire pit on the first night!! Highly recommend

A lot of thought and attention has gone into furnishing this new property, and that made the stay so comfortable. It had THE most comfortable bed, good heating, nicely appointed lounge area and kitchen and extras such as cereals, teas etc ... and a very quiet location about 5 minutes out of Strahan.

Such a comfortable and homely cottage which is beautifully set up. We loved tge extra touches, the friendly welcome and having a fire on the cold nights. We appreciated the spa bath after hiking. Great for self catering as eating out at the few restaurants is pricey. Great place to stay in Strahan.

Great family space to stay. Comfortable and plenty of kitchen equipment to make the stay far more economical. Prepared meals and fridge was a decent size too. So many lovely birds and the area was quiet too. Close enough to the main part of Strahan.
