Australiait was quiet, enjoyed having a ceiling fan to circulate the air at night while sleeping, plenty of room to stash the esky and bags. Having a functioning restaurant was an absolute bonus for convenience and the food was great and enough of choice on the menu. Bed was good.

United StatesVery well decorated and maintained, Olive Grove provided all the amenities you could want. Exceptionally clean, with access to local personnel if a problem arises (which none did). Still managed to fill up time with the Waltzing Matilda Center (amazing), a guided tour of the Rangeland Rifts and the Age of Dinosaurs. You must eat at Tattersalls.

Everyone was lovely and friendly locals and the old hotels were impressive and also the shops in town of yesterday’s era. There is a bit to see in the town.
There is a bit to see in the town. The locals are very friendly. We had a good time at the North Gregory Hotel which has a great beer garden if the weather is right. There is an outdoor cinema theatre worth visiting. We loved staying in an authentic small outback town which retained its original buildings and charm, while still providing for visitors. There was a choice of pubs for refreshments and meals, and plenty to look at and experience (without being too 'in your face'). We loved being in the middle of nowhere, comfortably and not in a motel chain room! Wi-fi wasn't easy to access for us - that was fine for me but may bother some people. Bring lots of drinking water as the town water in Winton is pretty stinky.Guest review byLisaAustralia
