Hotel Stari grad is set in Jajce and features a terrace and bar. All rooms boast a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Great hotel right in the center of the old town of Jajce. It's a short climb up to the fort and a shorter walk down to see the falls. The room was perfect, and we also ate an excellent dinner at the restaurant downstairs.

Jajce is a hidden gem of Bosnia. Small picturesque city with a lot to offer. Waterfalls on river Pliva are one of a kind. Almost 30 meters high, situated in city center, walking distance from Old Town with it's walls and castles. Old watermills on river Pliva are dating to middle age and are also very beautiful, worth a visit. They are located 3km from center and very close to Pliva lake where you can enjoy swimming in summer, boat rides, good food and much more. All in all if you are in Bosnia, and Jajce is on your way, you will enjoy it.
Jajce is typically known for one thing these days --- and such it is that history is forgotten for what occurred before then. The waterfall is definitely worth the stop - but there is much more to the city than the 1943 meeting of the Anti-Fascist communist and the beginning of what was to come to make Yugoslavia communist after the war. It weighes in as either a great evil or a great event - depends on which side you take. But forgotten in that is the past. Jace was the last seat of the King of Bosnia - before it all fell to the Turks. His bones are kept at the Catholic Museum which is under reconstruction due to its destruction in the 93-95 War in Bosnia. And you will not find anything of the battle that occurred in 1878 when the Austro-Hungarian forces fought 6,000 Turks and Bosnian insurgents outside the city when it was then a Turkish fortress/fortified town. That all said - there is more history to Jajce than Tito and to bring back the history of the city in the hundreds of years of Turkish rule is important.
The city center isn't all that big and you can walk through it very quickly. It's cute, all the must see historic sites are near one another. The waterfall was particularly great, the AVNOJ museum was pretty good to and if you're in Jajce and it's a hot day, go refresh yourself at the Plivsko lake.

Great location right in the heart of Jajce, near restaurants, the catacombs, waterfalls, fortress, etc. Rooms comfortable, everything extremely clean. Staff helpful and friendly overall, especially helpful in getting a parking spot (parking is basically next to the hotel on the street or in special spots). Dinner at the restaurant was very good.

We enjoyed our stay in beautiful Jajce. 10 minute walk into the gated old town, as well as the waterfall. 40 minute walk to the famous watermills. The room was nice and had a view of the river. Restaurant connected but we didnt end up trying it. ATM 5 minutes away 24/7. Glad we visited

This is a basic, but spacious accomodation, located near the road and close to Jajce. Initially I thought that sleeping was not ok because of noise (the river and the road are very close), but actually this wasn't problem at all. Very polite and welcoming host.
