Oudennarde is a lovely town with a beautiful square in the centre. It's a great place to have a Belgian beer and watch the world go by. There are plenty of places to eat but Margarethas is by far the best. It might appear to be expensive but you get excellent food for your money. A walk by the river is recommended - especially on a sunny day. Additionally, Donk Lake is also a lovely place for a walk - or to watch the wake boarders. Unfortunately, it rained every day while we were there. A trip to Ghent is probably recommended if you spend more than two to three nights here.Guest review byLenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Oudenaarde is an attractive town with some excellent places to eat - either in the centre or in the nearby villages. It's a great base for cycling enthusiasts - as there are iconic cobbled climbs and lovely quiet country roads. Really like these old houses with lot of character. Room is huge for a hotel room. You can see the old church and town square from your room windows (if your room is on the right side).
