Oudennarde is a lovely town with a beautiful square in the centre. It's a great place to have a Belgian beer and watch the world go by. There are plenty of places to eat but Margarethas is by far the best. It might appear to be expensive but you get excellent food for your money. A walk by the river is recommended - especially on a sunny day. Additionally, Donk Lake is also a lovely place for a walk - or to watch the wake boarders. Unfortunately, it rained every day while we were there. A trip to Ghent is probably recommended if you spend more than two to three nights here.Guest review byLenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Oudenaarde is an attractive town with some excellent places to eat - either in the centre or in the nearby villages. It's a great base for cycling enthusiasts - as there are iconic cobbled climbs and lovely quiet country roads. Extremely well presented, clean, comfortable and homely and in an excellent location on the edge of the town square just 10 minutes walk from the station. The rooms are clean and comfortable - with excellent pillows. The hotel is light and airy with an open-plan area on the ground floor where you can have a meal or just relax with an excellent Belgian beer. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way to ensure that your stay is perfect.
