First of all, the owner lady was supernice, we got along very well. Also the rest of the staff were kind and friendly. The house is just amazing, the garden and the restaurant in the yard, just next door. Everything inside and outside is reserved in Bulgarian tradition. The room was small but cozy for a couple of days of stay, perfectly clean, warm, enough space to work and rest. The bathroom was a bit small, though. Food: breakfast made and served by the owner lady every morning at the time I wished. Always some Bulgarian touch: pastry, sour cream, homemade cheese and with toast, and very good coffee. Also, the dinners served were top, hats down. Highly recommended if you want something special and traditional during your stay in Panagyurishte.

    The main reason to visit is to see the absolutely spectacular Tracian gold treasure when it is exhibited in the vault of the local history museum (once a year for a month, usually September - October). For those who know more of the turbulent Bulgarian history there is a wealth of other museums and historical places of interest too. A lot of the restaurants are of above-average quality too. We tried The Old House and Perfecto. Both were excellent with very attentive service. The Old Miners' Club Hotel in the town centre has a fine lobby bar too.
