It has developed enormously within the last few years, having become a sophisticated destination in Bahia. Rocks and pebbles in some of its beaches make it less desirable for getting into the sea. But the scenery is beautiful.

What I like about Praia do Forte is its laid back atmosphere...
What I like about Praia do Forte is its laid back atmosphere, very safe and family oriented. It is mostly Brazilians who come here for their weekends and holidays. Not many foreign tourists. The Villa adds a lot of charm to this location, full of ice cream parlors, cafes , restaurants and shops, many shops in a car free street which makes for lovely after beach strolls. Because it is relatively small we walked everywhere but renting bikes could be a good idea too. We did the buggy tour to the Castle DAvila and the lagoon with the falls which was fun but nothing outstanding. The Tamar proyect is also interesting but the tour was in Portuguese.This is mostly a place where you come to relax

Praia do Forte is great for holidays.
Praia do Forte is great for holidays. It has something for everyone. Plenty of restaurants, beach shopping and different types of beaches: natural swimming pools are the atraction but you can find some calm waters as well some deep ones. You won't run out of things to do there.

Everything in the resort worked. The staff very well trained in all sectors. Very friendly and helpful.

The meals are very nice, fresh products, fishes , shrimps, calamari and good fruits. Good meats. All food done with care.Again very nice people doing their work in the best way . Congratulations to everyone who is part of this time.

Great service.
Great service. Climate is perfect, when there is rain, usually a shower and the sun appears again. Beach is so beautiful, although in open sea, it is possible to bath and even dive in the waves. Sand is very soft and there is plenty of area to stretch under an umbrella, have fun or just relax and rest at sea sound.

On the positive side, the hotel is in a very central location and conveniently offers on-site parking. The property itself is beautiful, boasting very nice decoration and impressive artworks throughout. We also thoroughly enjoyed the culinary offerings, particularly the excellent breakfast and the afternoon tea. The pool area is nice, and having bikes available was a great bonus for exploring the area. Finally, our room was comfortable and featured a lovely terrace.

The house is amazing, all the bedrooms exceeded our expectations. We were 6 adults and 4 kids and everyone slept comfortably: all beds/pillows were extremely comfortable, every room has a bathroom and they were super clean and amazing, and the house is great for kids. Not to mention how close it is from the beach with tide pools. The cleaning lady was super nice and always willing to help. If we ever go back to Praia do Forte, I would love to rent this house again!

The location is superb; right on the beach and a short walk (app. 5min) from the town’s center. When the tide is low, there are natural pools right outside the hotel where you can go snorkelling (masks can be rented on the beach).
The staff is really nice, and the breakfast is amazing. We had dinner at the hotel restarant both nights, and the food was delicious.
