Hotel in Santo André
In front of Praia do Santo Andre beach and boasting a rustic yet sophisticated décor, Village Mata Encantada offers charming accommodations with WiFi connection for free. We stayed at the treehouse with sea view and it was one of the most special traveling experiences we've ever had. The house was impeccable, clean, with working amenities (wifi, tv, microwave, etc), built in harmony with nature in the middle of a little forest with great attention to detail. Our best treehouse experience so far (we've tried a few others before). The sun rises from the sea lighting the house with incredible shades and monkeys were passing by ower balcony almost every day. The owners were fantastic and assisted us with everything we needed, from plug adapters, taxi drivers and boat trips. We were also lucky enough to be given a late check-out without any extra charges. We are already looking forward to returning to Village Mata Encantada in a near future, the perfect stay for nature lovers.

Facing the beachfront in Santo André, Restaurante & Pousada Gaivota features a restaurant and a bar. The property provides room service and free WiFi throughout the property. I usually stay nearby but couldn't get a late booking, so we came to stay at Gaivota, Well, what a charming experience this was for my family. My husband who loves to fish was delighted with the location right by the rivers edge and the family friendly atmosphere from the owners Annie and husband and the staff was really lovely. Great place to just chill.

Santo André
Villa Beijaflor is located in Santo André and offers a garden, barbecue facilities and a terrace.
Santo André is a very tiny village with several restaurants but only one I found to be halfway decent which was at the very upscale Campo Bahia which was built for the German football team to stay before the last World Cup and is now a resort. The restaurant is quite beautiful as are the grounds but stick to seafood as the meat was very tough. Prices were very reasonable, I found. The rest of the restaurants in town not worth a visit imho. ( I’m a chef so am a bit critical) Make sure you have a rental car and take a little road trip up to Praia de Guaiú and spend the day at the beachfront Restaurante Maria Nilza for delicious traditional Bahian food especially the Moqueca and pastéis de camarão or siri. They close at 4 due to the rising tide which cuts off access to the road so get there early and enjoy.
