This is a basic room but the owners are nice and work hard to keep all the services going in this remote location. The food at the restaurant is phenomenal; HUGE servings! The homemade bread and cinnamon buns are worth the stop.

Very expensive, but if this is where you need to stop for the night it is a nice place, but you might want to bring your own food. If you want to dine on their dining room, you have to have a reservation and the cost of your meal is $75.00 per person (a 3 course meal).

    Absolutely gorgeous.

Absolutely gorgeous. This place is for people looking for nature. Rather isolated. We saw two herds of bison, caribou, and a porcupine during our stay in May. Make sure you check out Liard Hot Springs!

Wow. Beautiful lake and breathtaking scenery.

Wow. Beautiful lake and breathtaking scenery. Saw little fish jumping like crazy. We had fantastic weather so the sun over the lake was awesome. The road is quite fun to drive through if you are in a single vehicle (not towing something) as it’s windey and narrow. There can be sheep, but this trip we didn’t see any at Muncho. What we did see between Muncho and Liard was a ton of bison. The males are gigantic. We stayed at Liard Hot Springs Lodge on the way to Whitehorse, then Double G Service on the way home. Highly highly recommend Double G and NOT the Liard Lodge. Almost twice as cheap and more than 3x better in a rustic way. There’s a ton to do in the area - fishing, airplane tours, rv sites, cabins, hiking, biking, hot springs, photo ops.
