Located in the center of the small village of Charmey in the Gruyère region, Romantik Hôtel l'Etoile occupies a restored 17th-century building. Free Wi-Fi and free private parking are available. Nice interior. Cosy rooms. Great location to stay in Gruyere or just passing by. Helpful staff and good Restaurant.
Studios Bellevue offers accommodations in Charmey, located 656 feet from the Charmey - Vounetse Ski Elevator and 2625 feet from the thermal bath. It would be good to have yogurt, cereals and eggs for breakfast especially for kids. Location is great.
Located in Charmey, 1.3 miles from The Baths of Gruyère, Chalet L'Escapade has accommodations with a bar, free private parking, a garden and ski-to-door access. Everything was amazing! Very beautiful chalet. We love it so much! Better than in the pictures!
Located just a 4-minute walk from The Baths of Gruyère, La Grange Riau de la Maula 8 provides accommodations in Charmey with a bar, ski-to-door access, as well as a shared kitchen. Great location. The owners / staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was great and the shared room was a nice way to interact with other guests but it was still possible to have space. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
Charmant et lumineux appartement Duplex à Charmey, a property with a terrace, is located in Charmey, a 10-minute walk from The Baths of Gruyère. My friend and I stayed here for a long weekend in May. It is a very beautiful region for walks. It was nice to be able to have more space than in a hotel. Each of us had a room (there are two levels with two rooms, second level is the attic) and enjoyed the common areas for mealtimes and evening conversations. Very clean, bright and welcoming. Great shower. Undercover parking. It is a 10 minute walk to the centre of Charmey: downhill leaving and uphill returning.
Absolutely the perfect destination for lovers of hiking, biking and being in Nature. You truly need like 4-5 days to get the most out of the experience. With hundreds of km of hiking and biking trails, 3 days is just too short!
Charmey is nature, peace, calm, relax and thermal baths. Lovely people, lovely food (especially meat and milk products). Double crème de la Gruyère is not good or fantastic, it's double crème de la Gruyère and any other word is reductive.
A peaceful village, with charming houses and picturesque views. Great place to get away from stress and calm down, do some hiking while breathing healthy fresh air and finish with a relaxing soak in the local pool / spa. Many possible hiking routes around, and other activities depending on the season, check with their Tourist office. Mind that, the locals we met did not speak English nor German (in the bakery, cheese shops and supermarket).
For a short trip plenty to do: the chocolate factory, the spa, the gruyere village and its museums. Theres quite a few nice hike trails in the area. Though travel by car is recommended to do all this.
Nice village with very nice and helpful people, great authentic cheese shop and bakeries all around; big supermarket not far on the other side of the village; great opportunities for walks even as of less than an hour duration.
This chalet is based in a beautiful location up in the mountains near Charmey. The accommodation is absolutely amazing, cosy, clean and comfortable. Excellent facilities. Welcoming host who actually built it and what a great job he did! Everything here is very high quality and the attention to detail is exceptional. Amazing views, very comfortable bed, coffee machine, beautiful bathroom with waterfall shower, TV with loads of channels including English ones. Loved staying here and didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend!

Hotel rooms are nice and modern, while still keeping some of the local charm. Great restaurant on premise. Day long spa pass included in hotel price.
Not a lot. Standards have fallen for what is a relatively expensive hotel. Email not answered. Staff are pleasant but not enough of them.
Brand new, excellent value for money, great breakfast, very close to the Bains de Charmey, comfy bed, quiet location.
