Host Doris is very kind. The accommodation is beautiful, stylish, clean—everything feels like new and is equipped exactly as you need. The kitchen has all the essential utensils and basic food items—tea, spices, oil—so you don’t have to buy them if you want to cook. We truly felt comfortable, just like at home. Hi we are all the way from New Zealand, I love this hotel so much. Very cosy. I love that they have a larger space where children can hangout . Breakfast is very good with many options. Reception staff are very kind and accommodating, the outside views are also outstanding! . I would love to come back to Switzerland and stay here again!

Quiet place with very enthusiastic and polite staffs. Not all of them speak English but they try their best to answer our queries. We had the cheese fondue with tomatoes - something unique to the Valais canton - for dinner (strongly recommended by the staff) and it was just fantastic. The dessert was apricot sorbet with apricot liquor, both produced locally, the combination was just perfect. It’s a good place right in the alps with no other disturbance from the surroundings. Very peaceful environment, and near to various hiking trails. There’s towel provided, hot water shower, comfortable beds. It’s an old property but very well maintained, and very clean.

Beautiful town, stunning location , easy to get to , regular bus service, mountains , river walks , breathtaking flowers , friendly people. For me a perfect place and everything you could want for a well kept rural town with amenities in a low key non showy way .

My aim was to escape the city rate race, so I decided to...

My aim was to escape the city rate race, so I decided to visit, hike & take photos of the Lac Blue & the charming village of Evolène & Dent Blanche. Which was a worthwhile idea to mentally relax, listen to my self and enjoy the silence of my solitude. A couple of pints with a wood oven Pizza from the restaurant downstairs were the highlight of my Saturday evening after a shattered hike. Driving to Evolène was easy & straight forward, all I had to do was to click on booking location link which took me right away to Google map then I listened to GPS instructions where I found myself at the door step after the exact suggested GPS travel time. It couldn't be easier. Two things I have regretted, 1) to stay longer than 2 days & 2) to get my self Nordic stick when it comes mountain hiking & tricking.

We had a pleasure of staying 2 nights at the Hotel Hermitage when doing the Walker's Haute route. It is a wonderful place enchanting in its antiquity. A small family-run hotel that preserves the vibes of old times. The building itself is more like a museum, and feels strangely alive and extremely friendly. Exqusite interiors and warm welcoming from the charming host lady added to our experience there.

Very cosy studio with all the necessary equipment (and more) in a calm village, with an amazing view. Owner is very responsive and friendly, all-in-all very good value for the price. Evolène is perfect for everyone wanting to take a mountain break in a traditional village instead of an overdeveloped ski resort.

The apartment was well located on the edge of Evolène with a short walk to restaurants and bakeries and the coop. It was very comfortable with nice furnishings and a well equipped kitchen and a great shower. Cédric sent helpful messages about the location and access to the apartment.

Traditional and very original hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food delicious and the rooms warm, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was incredible value and the homemade jam and local produce delicious. We'd definitely come back!
