🏞️ Wonderful Stay with a View The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from Interlaken West train station and bus stop, nestled between two stunning rivers. The check-in experience was warm and welcoming, thanks to the friendly lady at reception. Our room featured a balcony with breathtaking views of the river and mountains—truly one of the most memorable hotel views I’ve ever had. While the hotel isn’t brand new, it’s well maintained and very clean. The breakfast with good options, including various juices and milks.

I was worried about the stay due to the negative reviews . The Interlaken west train station about 10 mins walk away. Surrounding with lots of eatery . Breakfast was alright for us . Room was cozy and enough space for our 3 luggage. The shower jet was strong .

AC as standard Bath and shower Daily cleaning and water top up Breakfast had loads of options,hot egg and bacon, pancakes, cereal, yoghurt, toast, croissants, fruit salad, salad, granola, miso soho, even doughnuts.     A tiny village in the centre of Switzerland. The place full of flowers, gorgeous gardens, happy people living there. One can even feel the calmness which fills every nook, every street or path of this place. Go there, don't rush yourself (what for?) and relax taking a stroll. Grab a cup of coffee and let your eyes smile, and your soul cry just because you have so little time to immerse yourself in such beauty.

    Very nice small city next to lake and perfect views of mountains, you can rent boat or other stuff and swim in the lake, you can take wonderful pictures of the lake and mountains around, easy and very nice to go Interlaken or other places around the lake by Ferry.

    Iseltwald is a lovely plce for you to stay if you are senior citizens and happy to make your own sandwiches. It is quiet and fabulous if you like drinking your whiskey in the balcony looking at the lake and surrounding mountains in a quiet atmostphere.It is blessed with exceptional views . There are some restaurants around but not so great in terms of the quality of food . The only shop/post office closes at 5 pm. So it depends on what you are looking for.

    Iseltwald is a quiet village but it is a really good base to travel to surrounding areas. The lake is extremely beautiful with the turquoise water and there are activities to do on the lake, eg, rowing, a ferry, etc. One needs a car to get around to other places of interest from Iseltwald but it is very central to get to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, etc.

    It has a cosy cove and a quite retreat holiday with easy access with the 103 free bus shuttle into Interlaken was very helpful, leaving moist days every 30 minutes. The small shop there is adequate for essentials. We loved kayaking on the lake and has regular ferry crossing which is an added attraction. There are a few restaurants in the area which is handy. A great place to go to to escape the busy city for a calm and peaceful break and would highly recommend.

    The location can not be beat - one of the most beautiful places on earth. Can highly recommend this central location for exploring the area - and the town of Iseltwald was a surprising highlight :) We appreciated the washing machine and dryer. For pretty much all places I have stayed at, I give 9/10 stars on booking.com - that was not possible here. Please read the below (coming from someone who doesn’t easily give bad reviews)

    Our stay at the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Our room had a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. The buffet breakfast was included in the price and had a variety of cheese, fresh bread, cereal and eggs, and it tasted amazing.

    perfect little apartment associated with the Chalet du Lac hotel. view from the back bedroom of the lake Ana castle. 2 bedrooms of good size with ample storage for a week long trip.
