Nice and spacious room. Very cosy interior everywhere. Sauna on the top floor is a gem. Very comfy beds. Big balcony with set of table with chair was great for coffee and croissant in the morning. Especially we had sunny days. Elevator access. Free parking. Perfect view. Definitely recommend.

Carry a map/guide when visiting places of interest / shops. It's easier to get around with a friend and to travel with a taxi. Trains are available, but mostly when visiting areas nearby or larger locations. If you are not used to a cool to cold climate, take some warm clothes, especially if you are going to go hiking up the mountains - it can get pretty cold. Nearby attractions include Gruyères Castle, Gstaad, Glacier 3000 and especially Vevey, the closest area where you can experience Lake Geneva.

"La Pivoine" is a nice, clean, welcoming Bed&Breakfast. It's a house with several rooms on different floors, the bathroom is shared by all guests. The owner of the B&B is a very kind, extremely generous host and we had a lovely chat while I was doing some work in the living room. I can whole-heartedly recommend "La Pivoine" to hikers, bikers, and even (though that's rare in Rossinière - but that's why I was there) people who are in town for one night to do business.

On arrival after a very tiring day we arrived in Rossiniere where we were greeted by the lovely hostess at La Pivoine. She showed us our room which was lovely and homely with everything we needed. We really felt at home in this rustic old, clean and tidy swiss house.The beds were very comfortable and breakfast and the chat with the hostess in the morning was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay, we felt very welcome.

The lady who runs the hotel is very nice. The hotel has a nice homely vibe to it. The rooms are clean, with nice comfy beds. However there were no tea / coffee making facilities in the room, and no bar in the hotel. If you wanted snacks or drinks, you had a 15 min walk to the only shop in the town. The breakfast choice is very basic, but it was nice.

The principal reason for choosing this location was because it was at the basis of the next stage of the Via Alpina. Next to that there is a wonderful small restaurant in Rossiniere that serves delicious food and wine.
