It is a great old town with plenty of things to see, especially if you are into historical sightseeing and lovely nature/surroundings. Just make sure that you come at the right time. The town was just the right size for a three day visit. We had our dog with us so no museums or galleries were on our list but we were welcome everywhere else. It's a quick jaunt from Vienna, ergo a convenient way to get some Czech culture. My hunch is Telc would be a better trip but it's hard to reach. The town is good for 1-2 nights. We stayed two nights in early spring. The town seemed to be a tad sleepy even though it was Easter week. It made it seem like two nights was pushing it. But the town is pretty and I can see it being very interesting with nicer weather. Brush up on your German as there was not much English spoken.Guest review byOlsen
