I stayed there because I attended a conference in Europa Park and there all hotels there were fully booked. Transport was easy by train and special bus shuttle of the event. Just sad that I did not have time to enjoy Offenburg.

Offenburg is a lovely City at the edge of the Black Forest.
Offenburg is a lovely City at the edge of the Black Forest.; also home of Burda. There is a superb lake in walking distance, Gifiz, great for a safe swim. Offenburg is near Europa-Park/ Rulantica, near Strasbourg and Freiburg…. Great for exploring the entire region…. Wine tours, hiking, shopping and lounging.

Very close to the station and the town for a quick overnight stay. Too late in the evening to visit the Christmas Market but there were stalls out in the morning. Very pedestrian friendly place and traffic calmed. The hotel lounge for guests was lovely and though there was no tea and coffee in the room you could but it from a machine. Room was quiet and warm and everything worked. Good and efficient welcome.

Rooms are good-sized and very quiet. Hotel is very clean. You pay on the way in so can just leave (no checkout). Reasonable breakfast choice for the price charged. Note that parking is in an adjacent car park and needs to be paid for. This was 5 euro in our case. 5 minutes walk into the old town with a good choice of restaurants while also a short, easy drive from the autobahn
