The room's interior was very well-thought out, with all the essentials in place. We had a very comfortable stay, a good breakfast and liked the all-day coffee and tea corner at the lobby. Staff was very helpful during check-in and check out. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Based on the directions we were able to walk where we needed to go. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and maybe a 15 minute walk to the old town of Tübingen. But the walk was nice as you walked past some stores. Would definitely stay again. The room was nice and modern!

Stunning village. This place has been a family-run guesthouse for around 250 years and it’s a really special place to stay. Only a few mins drive to Tubingen but it has free parking and stunning views. Breakfast was truly superb.

    Lovely medieval old town, very well preserved with few architectural sins. In springtime beautifully flowered, very clean despite the masses of visitors. Extraordinary city hall from the 16th century. Spectacular location on the Neckar river. Lots and lots of pubs and eateries, it is, after all, a student town. Try the restaurant "Forelle". Lovely, beautifully decorated dining hall with murals from the 19th century and excellent, reasonably priced food and friendly service.

    I was there on a working trip at the university so I was...

    I was there on a working trip at the university so I was only one day a tourist. It is a sweet little town with an AltStadt that escaped bombing in WW2, full of half-timbered buildings and a pleasure to walk around. I speak German so I was able to talk to people, took part in University activities. I was there in January so not much going on outdoors but the indoors university town culture was wonderful. I plan to go back next year for another working trip, will explore more. Bus system is very good.

    There was a fun atmosphere as the muddy brown river was full of people boating, and bands playing on some boats. Crazy bright flowers everywhere. And the town square was more beautiful than expected, and we almost missed it, thinking the bridge area was the main attraction. We ate at Barren Tapas and it was very good, and affordable.

    Old town was very scenic and the authorities have gone to a lot of expense to make the town attractive. The flower displays were everywhere particularly on the Neckar bridge and very impressive. A vibrant centre with plenty of shops, cafes etc. We would certainly recommend a visit.

    Beautiful student town, stunning in Sumer with beautiful old town, lovely river and bridge to appreciate the surroundings, quite busy but still charming and quaint, short drive to Stuttgart for a daily excursion, lots to do and see.

    Tübingen is a historical university town near the edge of the Schwäbische Alb (a low range of forested hills). The old town is delightful, with numerous pubs, restaurants, and individual shops and boutiques (very few chains). Be sure to take a guided boat trip on the Neckar river!

    I dare say this is one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in Europe; you could really tell that they took care of the very often overlooked details including water stains in the bathroom, limescale in the water kettle, and the waste bins. The room was also nicely lit with natural light during the daytime. Location-wise it was rather convenient: just a few minutes walk from the bus stop where you could catch Lines 2 and 6, and ca. 15-minute ride downtown/ to the university campus.

    Everything was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. So close to Tubingen, but without having to deal with the traffic. I loved that the owners are there to check you in and help you in any way. I am soooooooooooooooo tired of non-resident owners that you never see, codes and key boxes, etc. I love a REAL hotel like Hotel Loewen.

    The staff was exceptionally nice, and the dog-friendly hotel provided a warm welcome for my dog with a bag of treats, food and water bowls, and a blanket—such a thoughtful touch! The room was very comfortable, with a cozy bed and a lovely view of the river, plus a great breakfast.
