I can't remember ever being welcomed as warmly and treated with as much comfort and attention as at the Altes Pharrhaus. The owner's personal touch and great attention to detail has transformed this hotel & restaurant into a charming, peaceful and very stylish place. The breakfast was sublime and full of variation. Our experience could not have been better and we regret not having stayed longer.

Everything was very clean and the room was well equipped with new furniture. The bed was comfortable, just the mattress could have been a tad bit softer. Loved the balcony and refrigerator in the room.

Super quiet and just what we needed. Not fancy, but comfortable and easy. Staff left the key in a lock box so we could get to our room easily and then checked on us to make sure everything was ok and said to message them if we needed anything else. Breakfast was simple and nice, and laid out for us to eat when we were ready.

This little valley does feel a bit like the place that time...

This little valley does feel a bit like the place that time forgot and I mean that in a good way. Absolutely no motorway noise to bother you! I was told that there is a local population of 120. I was traveling for work so didn't have the time to look around the place more. My phone was dead in the valley but the hotel had WiFi. I really liked the hotel. For me this would be somewhere to bring the wife without the children for a quiet weekend, something I hope to do one day. The restaurant turned out a splendid evening meal for me and a very decent breakfast too.

Zimmer is a small village in the Eifel region.

Zimmer is a small village in the Eifel region. Unfortunately, there are no restaurants in the village on Mondays and Tuesdays. However, since we were hiking the Eifelsteig trail, this wasn't a problem. Zimmer is located midway along stage 14, so you can easily take a break if you stay in the village. The Netto supermarket, bakery, and butcher shop are also just a short detour (400m) away at the village entrance.
