You have to accept that in Denmark nothing is open for very long (11 to 4 if you're lucky) and that the shops shut by lunchtime on Saturday but it does make planning excursions very difficult. We didnt spend much time looking round Holstebro because we wanted to go to other places but there was actually quite a lot to see there , particulalrly art. However it was a good central point to travel to the Danish Lake District to the east and the Jutland battle museum , on the coast in the west.
