Hotel in Nyborg
Overlooking the Great Belt strait, Nyborg Strand is a beachfront property just 1.2 mi from Nyborg’s Old Town. Odense city center is within 30 minutes' drive. Great staff and location across from the beach. The breakfast was excellent! The spa facilities were top notch and very refreshing after 2 weeks of travel across the Baltic. The hotel is a conference center, so it was rather sprawling, and some areas are older, but we had an ocean view and the room was spacious enough for 3. We would definitely stay here again.

This little gem is located right on a fantastic beach, with great views including a stunning sunrise, silver sand and clean safe bathing. All the facilities you need in an apartment, which made my extended stay (6 weeks in total) very comfortable. Hosts Lara and Lars were also very welcoming and were attentive to all needs. Would recommend for work trips or vacation stays and suitable for families. Whilst I was here this time for work, I definitely intend to return with my family.

Nice location but still noisy if your windows are open due to the close distance to the "bridge". I was really surprised but it might be the direction of the wind that made it noisy. It is good for a night or a workshop but I would definitely not go for a vacation on this place! Hence professional work yes, vacation no!
The city looks lovely , but the people we met , except for the hotel owner , were quite hostile (at the beginning) and clearly right wing. As a foreigner it didn't feel very welcoming . But well, it can happen everywhere of course.
Clean rooms friendly staff good food and an amazing pool and sauna Was in town for a competition and used the sauna to help make weight Nyborg was beautiful go and see the castle when work is finished Was expensive but so is all of Denmark
It is not all about what you should see in Nyborg! Nyborg is a great place to start off. We have plenty of hotels. Downtown, at the beach, in the woods - next to the public indoor swimming pools (with playground and a dozen other facilities). Nyborg has been the capitol of Denmark in the 14-hundreds and you really should see Nyborg Slot (Slot = Castle) along with the defense lines along the moat. Odense is about 30 minutes away by car and 15 minutes by train - and is kind of a small version of Copenhagen. Svendborg is also a very nice place. Same style as Nyborg and great places to dine. Nyborg also casts one of the worlds longest suspension bridges. It is not free to cross - but you can watch it from the beach. Traffic to and from Sealand/Copenhagen pass the bridge - so if you arrive at Copenhagen Airport, you will cross it. Don't expect a lot of stuff going on during nighttime and late evenings in the weekends. When shops and attractions closes, so does the city. Expect a place to relax, a place for a good walk and a place for an ice cream at the harbor. To get around the island of Funen, I recommend a car. Public transport does exist (to some extent) but you can easily get stuck somewhere as there very well may be two hours between buses and your trip will take forever because they stop all the time. If you plan on staying in Nyborg I recommend a bike. Odense is easiest to access by train. Shopping in Odense inner city is easiest to acces by train, but keep Rosengaardcentret in mind, which is a quite large shopping centre where you really would like to go by car ;-) Enjoy :-)
Great stop during a brief road trip across Denmark. Great views of the Great Belt Bridge before and after using the bridge. Good hotels (Sinatur and Nyborg Strand) with small but good beaches and great sea and bridge views. Nyborg Slot great for brief visit with large free car park just behind it, and a good place to start an evening stroll through town. Lausses Grill by the quay great for good value, low cost Danish fast food.
It wasn't a lot of dining places in Nyborg. If you want something that is not fried. We ate at an Italian restaurant Marcos. But can't recommend this place. The spaghetti was like taken out of the tin can added some spoons with chili powder and some shrimps. We became sick after that. The harbour was nice. But there wasn't much happening, after 8pm. Or not much information to find in the city or harbour in the evening.
