HungaryFrom the accommodation you can already see the ocean — and within a straight 1-minute walk you can literally sit on the rocks with your feet hanging in the water.
The staff is always kind, smiling and helpful, and everyone really tries to make your stay calm, comfortable and trouble-free.
I also liked the shared bathroom. At first I was a bit worried, but it was always spotless, spacious and comfortable. I never had to wait for other guests, especially because there is also a private bathroom in the twin room on the same floor, so not everyone uses the shared one.
I stayed here for a longer period and tried several room types. All of them were clean and well-kept, and some of them have a perfect ocean view with nothing blocking it.
Restaurants, bars and a local supermarket are all within 5 minutes. There is also a bar/restaurant right in front of the accommodation.
The area itself is beautiful — palm trees, cactuses, big playgrounds, plus great spots for running or doing yoga.

LatviaIt was so peaceful. Chirping birds all around. The property is absolutely beautiful. Like a secret paradise. The garden is big and you can always find a spot in the sun or shadow to rest, picnic or tan. The breakfasts were so tasty and the service was amazing. Fresh towels every day. Beach towels available as well.
We had a rental car so going to places was no problem. We really appreciated being able to escape the busy touristic areas. We also brought sleeping masks, since we we're staying in the room with the glass door, and then the bit of light shining through was also no problem.
We are hoping to come back some day.

Perfect Quiet apartament in the Heart of Alcalá!
I was looking for an independent accommodation that would offer me peace and freedom, far from the hustle and bustle of hotels, and this property exceeded all expectations.
Although it doesn't have a panoramic view, I discovered that this is actually a big advantage: the property is very private and quiet. Being on the ground floor (or in a quiet area), there are no stairs to climb, which makes everything very accessible and comfortable.
The location in Alcalá is perfect—close enough to walk to local shops, pharmacies, and nice restaurants, but tucked away just enough to guarantee a good night's sleep. The house was spotless, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed to feel at home.
The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything. It is rare to find such a good combination of independence and hospitality.

A beautiful place
Excellent seaside paths for walking/strolling.
Plenty of restaurants and cafes.
Plenty of shops
Bus service is, however, quite poor. Buses never ran to time and at times we had to wait up to an hour at times. The local authority has to so something about the roundabout at the edge of the time - it was a major time hold up. ( these points are not a criticism of our apartment)

Alcalá is a truly lovely place – it feels local and lived-in...
Alcalá is a truly lovely place – it feels local and lived-in, not like a typical tourist hotspot. Even though we personally preferred the more authentic northern part of Tenerife, we’re really happy we chose Alcalá for our stay on the southwest coast. We also happened to come across a local fiesta here, which was absolutely impressive. And one more highlight: there’s a wonderful seaside promenade that stretches all the way to the nearest town, with a great running path along it – as a runner, I couldn’t get enough of it. I went out at dawn every single day, and I honestly had some of the best runs of my life there. Overall, Alcalá is a fantastic place.

Rather quiet but lovely and more traditional. Two buses from airport, Bus 40 from airport to Costa Adele , then 477 or 473 to Alcala . Buses frequent and efficient. Buy a Ten + card for 2 euros and charge it up with currency. We topped up with 30euro which lasted us 6 days of travel for 2 of us . Ask driver for 2 tickets and then tap in , remember to tap out on exit . We loved our stay and walked in both directions, San Juan has more choice of restaurants as does Los Gigantes . On balance we would probably stay more centrally next time and travel out to different places each day . The Teidi and Masca all day excursion was superb and good value for money

A feel of a working town not saturated by people like us, tourists and sun seekers. People very helpful and transport good with friendly bus drivers. Some bars and restaurants which need reserving due to demand.

Alcala has a lovely square with local bars and restaurants. The fabulous natural sea pools are safe and clean. Fantastic promenade along the coast and a lovely walk all the way to Los Gigantes. I would definitely recommend a stay in Alcala

Everything, it is so cleans, bright, spacious. Kitchen facilities excellent, eco friendly and quiet washing machine. Lovely balcony, great vuews of Tiede. Great location, 3 minute walk to Alcala sea , beautiful coastal walks, 4 mins to supermarket and restaurants. I got a lovely email to check if i had any questions from people looking after the accommodation. .

We really enjoyed our stay at La Cala de Alcala Luxury everything was great, the location 5 mins walk to the seafront and local square with bars & restaurants. The apartment itself was lovely very clean and well set out, when you reach the rooftop the view is amazing with sunbeds for your own private use, would definitely book here again.

Architecture (hotel's 'look') is impressive. Adult only pool. Physical zoning of complex between families Vs adults only. Common areas (eg. Reception, Plaza Atlantica) are lovely. Evening programme of live entertainment + occasional special events eg. astronomy presentation.
