El trato, fantástico. Comida excelente y precios buenos.
Almería lies on the Mediterranean coast of Andalusía, overlooked by the old Moorish citadel or ‘Alcazaba’. It offers sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear waters, and the typical friendliness of southern Spain. Its urban pattern blends Moorish legacy, medieval buildings, modern architecture, and colourful narrow streets.
It was founded in the mid-10th century by the Caliph of Cordoba, and was named ‘Al-Mariy-yat’ or ‘the watchtower’, as it was part of the coastal defences of the Caliphate. After internal divisions in the Caliphate and Christian crusades, the city finally surrendered to the Catholic monarchs a few years before the first trip of Columbus. A range of hotels in Almeria’s city centre will allow you to enjoy this magic atmosphere from a close distance.
The Cathedral of St Mary of the Incarnation was originally a mosque, and was built resembling a fortress, in order to offer resistance to pirates. The nearby Gata-Nijar Cape Natural Park offers beautiful landscapes and beaches. Hotels on Almeria’s beaches are a popular choice, while a variety of accommodation is also available in the surrounding villages of Roquetas de Mar, Aguadulce, and San José.
The city is serviced by Almería Airport, a local railway station, and a bus station. Ferry services to Tunis and the Spanish enclave of Melilla are also available.

I recommend Almeria for a relaxing week, a city where the old and the new mix perfectly. Great hotels, affordable public transport, cleanest streets, walks, restaurants, bars and cafes, walking distance to the beach, a nearby airport, nice, friendly and helpful residents and a general great weather. You would treat yourself in this city for a lower price than in Malaga, for example, with fewer attractions but still enjoyable.

What a fabulous Spanish city.
What a fabulous Spanish city. History, architecture, art, beaches and food. This place is the best of both worlds; a city break with a beach. We stayed in the Zapillo beach area, a short walk away from the city centre. This beach is long, safe, and used by locals and tourists a lot. Backing it were bars, cafes and restaurants. The city centre is easy to walk around, although it does rise up to the Moorish Castle at the top. There's a tourist train that takes nearly an hour to trundle around the sights, run by the local bus company. Tapas bars are a plenty and the local beer flows openly amidst statues, parklands, beautifully grand buildings or within the tiny old town. The airport is just outside the city, and buses run from there to the intermodal station in the city centre for 1.05 euros per person. This is a Spanish city and resort, so don't expect English spoken freely, and it's Tosadas for breakfast.

We absolutly loved Almeria.
We absolutly loved Almeria. Our trip was a spur of the moment , an extra day as on our way to Granada. We could have stayed longer and given we live relatively close by we will definitely be back. Very friendly and helpful staff at this hotel.
Had the best meal ever since we moved to Spain on the recommendation of a local in a bar on the street. It was very late in the evening but the restaurant accomodated us. La Concierta you did very well.
We spent the next day walking to tourist landmarks and enjoyed our visit to the monument high on the hill. We nearly didn't go as clearly was being renovated but hey again well worth it.

Almeria city was okay but once you see the sights it’s just another city. We found it extremely difficult to find a good restaurant that was open. There really is nothing spectacular about Almeria city. If it’s on your travels then stop in but don’t go out of your way to visit.

Almeria is a beautiful coastal town with a long history as a trading port on the Mediterranean. Since it is a bit outside the typical tourist destinations it is less swamped by "hordes' of visitors. Numerous sights in town and countryside to explore, e.g. castle, cathedral, promenades, parks, markets, etc. It is surrounded by the only "real" desert in Europe!

Almeria is a little unknown Spanish city.
Almeria is a little unknown Spanish city. Small but it does offer an amazing foodie experience. Good weather all year around... And tapas come for free with your drink!
Apart from that, the beaches are amazing. Virgin wild beaches and coved that you can only access on foot.
The location of this apartment was perfect, only a short walk to Town and right on the beach. There was everything that we needed in the apartment, especially when we had some really bad weather and there was nowhere open for food. We were able to cook and had Netflix to keep us occupied. The balcony and Terrace are a great bonus. Overall, I would highly recommend this property to families, couples or a group of friends.
The flat was very clean . It bigger then expected, a large 1 bedroom flat .
The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay, and so did our dog. You can take the dog on the beach , there is a dog meeting every evening all local our dog loved it .
Great Central location close to all bars and restaurants.
Staff very welcoming and most helpful.
Would certainly recommend this hotel if you require a city centre stay.
Amazing location. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean and really good sized rooms for a city hotel. The roof terrace was stunning and the views fabulous.
