Isolated and dead place in winter even if just a few km from Valencia. Canet d’en Berenguer is a somewhat soulless beach resort...
Canet d’en Berenguer is a somewhat soulless beach resort built entirely over the past 50 years with many low rise apartment blocks. At the opposite end from the marina there are some up market detached homes in contrast to the rest of the over developed town. With almost 100% Spanish clientèle it’s quite authentic. We ate at the Sarabella Canet situated behind the Consum supermarket where we ate well and enjoyed good service. It was almost empty other than our party which was surprising as it was the height of the season. There are several restaurants and bars and a couple of supermarkets but other than the usual tourist market evenings along the promenade not a lot of shopping opportunities. A great outdoor market on a Sunday morning with local produce and clothing is well worth a visit.Guest review byStephenFrance
