This 4-star hotel is located at the entrance of Jaén, perfectly located by the Bailen-Motril Motorway. HO Ciudad de Jaén offers luxurious air-conditioned rooms with a private terrace and city views. This is one of the best value for money hotel room I have had in the past 10 years, knowing I have spent approximately 160 nights per year.
Hotel Infanta Cristina is in a new residential area of Jaen, near El Corte Inglés and the University. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. Another 1 night stay. We were given a twin bed room when I had requested a double bed.. The room was not pleasant and so I went down to a more mature receptionist and asked her for another room, with a double bed. We moved from 2nd floor to a room on 3rd floor which overlooked the pool areas, lovely thankyou. This receptionist also gave us the name of a restaurant we would like and about 15 minutes away walking. It was really enjoyable, and we were able to thank her the next morning for her suggestion and also change of room. Parking outside the hotel was free for 24hrs Great. Breakfast at €11. P/person was very enjoyable and the young lady serving in the breakfast area was delightful and so friendly.

This modern hotel is located in the city center of Jaén and features a terrace with views over the cathedral. It offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a TV and private bathroom. Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Right in the heart of Jaén. Easy walking distance to the bus station, and out to the train station too. Very nice staff and a lovely breakfast. Lots of olive oils to choose from (if not here, in the heart of Olive Country, then where!)

We stopped in Jaen on Easter Saturday and made sure we visited the Cathedral having the final parade/procession. The music, float design and procession were amazing. I highly recommend taking in one of the multitude of Easter processions if you are in town during Holy Week.
The palacio containing the Baños Árabes was so much more than we expected, what a great place and friendly, helpful staff. We noticed some photos of places we would like to visit and they showed us where to find then on maps and gave other recommendations. Some nice streets and plazas for strolling and having some good tapas around Plaza Constitución. One day in Jaén is plenty. Our other day there we spent visiting an olive mill and farm - Oleícola San Francisco in Begíjar, about 40 minutes drive from Jaén. Luis gave us an incredibly interesting and informative tour, and their shop has great products. If you like and use olive oil we would highly recommend taking the time to visit. After the tour we drove 10 minutes to Baeza, a World Heritage site, which didn't seem too special on entering but what a find. Off the large main square are no end of historical lanes and passageways. Very picturesque.
Small city with risk history. Tiny streets for the driver's comfort so be aware if you're driving there. Not a lot of things to see in the city itself but around it there are some nice old Andalucian castles and forts.
As one local person told us, is not a flat city, so there are slopes, a lot of them, but is not to big so can walk it around easily, it has three main places to visit, the castle, the cathedral and arab baths. The city center is nice and full of bars where you can eat diverse kind of foods and be tasting different olive oils (take in account that Jaén is one of the mayor producers of oil worldwide) People was nice and helpful every time we need them.
Beautiful city, interesting place, great food. We didn't spend enough time there. Cathedral was stunning in and out. The Arabic baths again well worth a visit and it's free entry. Also you get tapas with your drinks here. Local speciality, leche frita....fried milk, although really it's fried custard....delicious
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, and the decor was beyond amazing. I truly felt as if I stepped back in time when I visited and stayed at this hotel. We normally eat dinner around 6:00, so we were unhappy when they told us that we couldn't eat in the dining room until 8:30. What we ended up doing on one of the days we were there was having a late lunch, about 3:45. The town itself isn't very exciting. I don't believe we will return.

Very nice apartment. Clean and very well decorated. Pablo, the host, was great. When we arrived he had fresh fruit and a carton of milk in the fridge, along with coffee, tea and even coco, waiting for us. Pablo was very accommodating and friendly, we can not say enough good things about him. The property has a really nice deck on the roof and the location is perfect for sightseeing around Jaen.

Excellent roof terrace with a great view of the Cathedral and mountains. Otherwise average hotel in central location in Jaen. Jaen has an amazing museum at the Arab Baths. The Baths are just a small part of the palace with its pottery collection, artifacts of the people, uniforms and a naive paintings.

Colourful hotel, clean and modern. Super breakfast. Nice to have sink and mirror separate from shower and toilet. As said by others, the private garage takes a bit of skill, but I think it is very doable.
