It is so much fun to stay right in the middle of the town square! The host hotel is a little ways away and is at the end of a street. But this location has much more style. The deck above is fun to sit and relax while enjoying all the activity below. The cabin is very well appointed, including a washer.

nice, quiet apartment, with one bedroom and living room with kitchen, good size bathroom, very clean, beds were super comfy, helpful contact person at the hotel reception from where we picked up the keys. It is in a small town inland, so to access the beach is easiest by car. The beach is 10 minutes drive, wonderful local place. the town itself is small but interesting for those who want to see a bit of everyday life on an island in not a very touristy place or are passing buy and need a place to sleep over. There is a nice local market every first saturday of the month and series of everyday museum offering a glimps into the history of the city, its workers, doctors, and artists. highly recommended

The room was small but very cozy, the bed was super comfortable and it even had memory foam pillows which is a great plus! The staff was so attentive and tried to help with everything, from bringing food into our room when we needed to work, to allowing us to stay a bit longer for checkout. The place was impeccably clean all around - the toilets, the kitchen, the rooms. Cleaned and disinfected daily. The communal kitchen was small but really had all the essentials. One of the two shared toilets was actually a huge bathroom with shower and a washing machine which was free to use together with detergent and softener. Really great! The breakfast was plentiful, fruits, cakes, variety of a la carte sandwiches, juice, coffee. We were even treated to some free beers when we arrived. El Risco does not have much to offer, but don't miss out on a 40min hike to Charco Azul waterfall and El Risco beach - a small piece of heaven with black volcanic sand (you can drive all the way to the beach).
