We wanted to be disconnected from the crowdy areas and meet less tourists. The hotel is literally at the end of the island, so it was very relaxing. We took only breakfast, it was all great, coffee was very strong, so it could wake us up quickly! The staff at the reception was extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, the included buffet at Tabaiba was really good, and if you are half board you get to eat at the specialised restaurants 3 times per week as well, my favourite of which was the Italian dolce vita. I loved the spa and went there 4 times during my stay, it had some nice heated lemon and flower scented baths, a jacuzzi, sauna, steam room, heated pool and a sensory pebble walk. I also had a hot stone massage which was very relaxing.

The food was varied and of good quality including steak, roasts, salmon etc as well as a good selection of veggie options. There was usual nonsense with people bagging sunbeds before the sun had risen but the pool man did a good job of removing their towels ! Close to beach and marina rubicon

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.
There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.
A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.
Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.
First time visit to Lanzarote for us. Couldn’t have picked a better villa for location. We didn’t have a car but it was so close to beach/ shops and restaurants. We felt very safe walking along the front to Playa Blanca. Walked to the craft market at the Marina which was beautiful. Buses easy to get around with a bus stop close by. Will definitely return to Lanzasuites for longer next time.
Playa Blanca was originally a port town, fishing and ferries. It has transformed into a fairly busy, but slightly up market resort, with many restaurants and a great beach or two. My one fear is that it is being dominated by the all inclusive hotels and complexes which could ruin it's traditional feel. This would be a shame.and not at all in the spirit of César Manrique, who had a vision to stop Lanzarote becoming too commercial and full of high rise buildings.
Great restaurants and bars. Still friendly, found some good eating places and cafe bars away from the sea front. Playa Blanca is changing, slowly. Major building works on the precinct, not mentioned much. Electric scooters are both all over, many being ridden dangerously.
Playa Blanca is reasonably small but has a good beachfront walk along the coast. There's a nice marina with restaurants and bars. Lots of hotels line the ocean but most of the sand is volcanic except one small golden beach (that we saw). Lots of small supermarkets within walking distance of most hotels and a bigger Spar near the port. The port has a ferry service that I assume goes to other islands like Fuerteventura
Playa blanca is a lovely resort with various areas for restaurants. From Marina rubicon to the restaurants in between up to the main playa blanca resort. We preferred the marina rubicon for a more relaxed environment. Ideal location for sightseeing. The caves and green lake at El Golfo to airplane watching at arrecife and the great eateries close by. Also a visit to Rancho Texas is great for seeing the sea lions and dolphin shows as well as lots of other animals. Driving is so relaxed and easy and worth it to visit other parts of the island.
Playa Blanca has something for everyone. We were in a quiet area with ameneties but a short walk away. However for a longer trip to to the other end of town, it was a short and reasonably priced bus ride away. Stops easy to find. Spoilt for choice for food in restaurants. Would recomend it for a good family holiday.
