We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The sea view was beautiful. The food was outstanding with varied, fresh, and absolutely delicious, with something to enjoy at every meal. The hotel facilities were great and very well maintained, making the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Everything was clean, well equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to help. We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

The lobby and lobby bar were magnificent. Beautiful property overall. The Privilege option was nice with an upgraded sea view room. full service dining rooms, and a separate lounge adjacent to the lobby.. The breakfast buffet was absolutely amazing. The best breakfast by far among the ten properties where we stayed during our travels through Spain, Portugal and the Canaries. The spa was also very nice with multiple pools, saunas, etc.

The Calmer Side of Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is the newest, and arguably quietest, large resort on Lanzarote, which makes it popular with families. It is partially sheltered from the Atlantic winds by the dormant Montaña Roja volcano, and volcanic rock lines its sandy beaches which are spread around a bay.

There are 3 main beaches: Playa Dorada which is popular for watersports, Playa Blanca – the most peaceful, and Playa Flamingo which is overlooked by shops, bars and restaurants serving locally caught seafood. Further east the long stretches of sand give way to the rocky Papagayo Coves whose beautiful scenery is depicted on many a postcard.

A promenade linking the 3 beaches is lined with luxury hotels and resorts available on Booking.com, many offering all inclusive options and some even have their own water park. There are also lots of cheap apartments and private villas in Playa Blanca, some of which overlook Marina Rubicon. The Castillo de las Colorados watchtower sits on a rugged piece of headland looking across the Atlantic Ocean towards the hilly terrain of Fuerteventura.

Ferries to this neighbouring Canary Island depart from just across the bay and offer beautiful views back across the whitewashed buildings towards the mountains behind Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca is a lively part of Lanzarote. It had lots of lovely restaurants and bars to choice from. The beaches were nice and clean along with the water. Would definitely go back. It is not follow of sports bars but a variety of nice restaurants and bars some with live music. Had a lovely relaxing stay

We enjoyed visiting Marina Rubicon.

We enjoyed visiting Marina Rubicon. There are many restaurants to choose from we particularly enjoyed Lani's and Jungle Vibes. There are two lovely beaches Flamingo and Doroda. We went Jet-skiing twice from Marina Rubicon which was excellent.

It's very easy to walk around playa blanca, lots of nice restaurants, a beautiful marina where there is a market twice a week and for kids a fun water park, Aqualava which we have visited many times with my grandson. If one has mobility issues it is easier to get around than PDC.

Playa Blanca has a great feel about it with an upmarket seafront walk which stretches for miles. Here you find cafe's restaurants and shops selling high end goods. The old main street shops are interesting and varied. with easy parking. We visited twice by car and twice on foot walking from the Rubicon Marinea along the sea walk.

Been visiting Playa Blanca for 22 years. We love it. Resturants can be hit and miss so a few suggestions. Excellent Ones -  Puerto Blanco (best in Playa Blanca), Port of Call,  L'Artista, La Flamenca, Ones to definitely avoid - Tipico Canario, Grill Volcan De Timanfaya, La Gondola

We normally stay in Puerto del Carmen which we love but we fancied a change having spent a day in Blanca last time. It’s different as it’s smaller than PDC. It was really chilled and just what we needed. It was great to go over to Fuerteventura for a day too on the boat. Corralejo was lovely and bigger than I expected. Would stay over for a night next time. I’m not a beach lover but the beaches are lovely and Dorada in particular was perfect. We sunbathed and swam there most days. Very safe. Great snack bar too. We will most definitely go back to both resorts for different things.

Just a short ten minute walk to restaurants and bars in the scenic harbour, and about twenty minutes to a lovely beach. Playa Blanca is a bit further but the nicest parts of the area are back here closer to the hotel really. Central Playa Blanca being a bit more busy and tired (but more reasonably priced restaurants too). The rooms are spacious, good facilities, the poolside setting wonderful, feeling very luxurious with the view of the sea that you can see in the photo.

Casa Reina was absolutely perfect for us, spacious clean & modern. We arrived in Playa Blanca the day before to an awful hotel which wasn’t anything like we had expected so we booked this last minute & we all loved it. We would highly recommend it & would definitely stay again if visiting. The area is very quiet, short walk to the beautiful Playa Dorado beach & Aldi supermarket not far up the road (which you can walk). We were all very comfortable here.

Third stay at the NP, best location in Playa Blanca. Super friendly staff, always accommodating guests' needs. Compared to out previous stays, the overall cleanliness of the hotel, and in particular of the rooms, has much improved, every where was spotless; however, the meat and fish grill in the buffet was of slight less quality in our opinion. We can't wait to be back soon!
