Rias Bajas Hotel is located in the commercial and financial center and is only 328 feet away from the old city; making it the ideal location for anyone visiting Pontevedra. I was staying at another place in Pontevedra (which shall remain nameless) on my Camino Portuguese, and when I got a bit of food poisoning I knew I needed to stay at least one more night in town, and also find a different hotel. Carla at Hotel Rias Bajas reception was an absolute hero, checking me in early, arranging for me to stay in the same room an extra night when I wasn't fully recovered, and just making me feel like someone was looking after me. For this hotel at this time, that was the most important thing and she exceeded expectations :)

Pontevedra has a charming old city center, with its two-storied houses and its porticoes. As a pilgrim, I recommend a visit to the cathedral and to the monastery complex, and a casual stroll about the streets. Though I know there is much more to see and to do in Pontevedra besides passing by. There are restaurants for every taste, ranging from fast food and pizzas to the local gastronomy, which is very rich and tasty - the fish and the octopus. If there is one thing I really didn't like (at all), it was the bus station, which looks abandoned. If you must travel by bus, you'd better go directly to the bus parking place and try to find someone to talk to over there - or ask a bus driver.
Pontevedra (and surrounding areas) is a must to visit. The food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed - so a great place to go if you want to get away. It has history, culture and the walk along the river is priceless (either for sport or just to relax). The people are great too. Pontevedra is a great city to walk in (you can tell there's been a big push for pedestrians in preference to cars!)
Great city to visit, well of the tourist trail. Lots of bars & restaurants, especially in the old city. Did a trip to the Atlantic coast which was well worth the effort. Stunning views out to the islands.
Pontevedra to us is a hidden gem not only of Galicia but the whole of Spain. It is very beautiful and almost traffic free which means wandering around and visiting the many historic buildings and the fabulous shops and bars makes it just about perfect. It also is very convenient for travelling to the many wonderful coastal areas and the mountains. There are also riverside walks around the town so plenty to see and do. Perfect!
I enjoyed walking around the water front and getting lost in all the little streets in the sold Town. Getting around was not that easy as it was hard to read street names and figure out where things were, even with a map.
Can't remember the names, but their are several places by the water that were very good in Combarro to eat. Pontevedra was nice to visit and Combarro has a very nice waterfront and small beach. You can rent small water crafts and they have boats that will take you to different small islands, for hiking and nature exploring.
Pontevedra
The location is awesome--overlooking a lively square in the historic center of Pontevedra. As the square is traffic-free, the noise level is moderate. The large windows offer a lot of light but block virtually all of the noise. The apartment is comfortable and spacious. It has two bedrooms and two full baths. Kitchen, dining area and living area form one big space, so it is a great space to have some people over. The apartment is in a good condition, everything works, and the kitchen is well equipped.
This was our second visit to Hotel Dabarca and because we liked it so much the first time we decided to spend 1 week there. The Hotel is in an excellent location as the beautiful monumental part of Pontefedra is just across the road and although the road is very busy there is no noise at all in the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and the bar/cafe is a great place for breakfast and an evening drink.
Very clean and modern hotel, close to the train station and also a few blocks from the old town, there are shops and restaurants around the hotel if need something to eat or drink, the price of the hotel is affordable with good quality. We took a taxi to Combarro from the hotel and we paid 14 euros, also if you are planing a one day visit to Santiago or Vigo is pretty handy to have the train station very close.
Pontevedra
The apartment was so clean and tastefully furnished. The views of Pontevedra were certainly great. It is a nice and clean apartment with everything you need. Comfortable beds and clean, comfortable linens. Cristina, our host, was very kind and attentive to all of our needs. She kept in very good contact with us and was ready with lots of good advice and recommendations on the beautiful surrounding area.
The city has a lot of charm and our hotel was right on the route of the Camino. We were greeted promptly and shown to our room. The room was clean, comfortable, bed was good too. Thought the location was good as it was not only on the Camino but close to a lot of the sites we were interested in exploring.

Nice apartment in the centre of Pontevedra with a lovely balcony. We had everything we needed and the host was very attentive - we didn't have a coffee pot and he brought one round for us very quickly. The bed was really comfortable.
An exceptionally well run small hotel property in the old quarter. Rooms are cozy but very clean, comfortable and quiet. Restaurant and cafe on premises. Front desk staff very helpful. For this style of hotel - I rank this quite high .
The hotel has a restaurant/cafeteria that opens late. The location is very good, close to the pedestrian area. The room was OK, nothing special, but reasonably comfortable.

Historic gorgeous hotel. Incredibly helpful staff.
The bed is confortable. Spacious room.
Very clean and quiet room. They did not say anything about it, but I guess we were upgraded to a (very spacious) suite. The staff was very nice, both to us and to our dog. The parking was full, but they explained where we could park in the street for free. Fast free WiFi.
The room was very nice and organized. Any time I had a question or needed help with something, the receptionist was always helpful. The location of the hotel was close to everything and made my stay much easier.
