Rias Bajas Hotel is located in the commercial and financial center and is only 328 feet away from the old city; making it the ideal location for anyone visiting Pontevedra. Our group really loved everything about this hotel. The food was delicious and the location can't be beat. We will be back in a few months!

The Hotel Restaurante Rúas can be found in the historic center of Pontevedra, close to Plaza de la Leña. It offers simple rooms with free Wi-Fi and plasma-screen TV. I loved the location and the fact that a really delightful restaurant is attached is a great bonus. Wonderful room located right within a plaza! We had dinner there that night and were delighted to discover some live music being performed that evening in the same plaza. I seriously love this place!

Unfortunately we got there too late at night and left very early in the morning. Not enough time to give a fair description. However all the people that we encountered were very friendly and helpful.
Wonderful city! Wish I had known... I would've planned on staying longer. Pontevedra itself is lovely and then there are multiple bus trips which are easy to take to the coast - Combarro, O Grove etc.
The old town is tucked away from the main road routes but is well worth a visit and there were hardly any tourists. We found a place to sit outside and eat octopus and prawns in Rua Real. The museum is marvelous. A well laid out display of paintings from the 20th and 19th centuries by Spanish, mainly Galician painters. There's an impressive hoard of gold from the Iron Age too. We also went across the river to the Sculpture Island. It has pieces by some well known contemporary artists but needs a bit of looking after as some exhibits are overgrown and going into the Labyrinth should be avoided. (There is no public loo around.)
We had fantastic seafood, went to see the provincial museum and learned about Galicia, had an excursion to the Cies islands and visited several churces. We also rented bikes and rode along the river. I highly recommend the gourmet restaurant Eirado da Lenha (menu de degustacion 40 euros) - and about any of the outdoor restaurants in the old part. As we arrived there was a musikal festival going on With traditional celtic-gallegan Music bagpipes and all. Friendly People, affordable dining, we'll be back!
Chose pontevedra because it had a rail link to Santiago and was easier thN taking the car. The old town is magical, didn't get a chance to visit the coast line here but looks fabulous. Good enough reason to return
Alameda Home is really a beautiful place to stay, we are lucky to get this apt during our Camino trip through Pontevedra. The apartment is in perfect location close to the town centre, near restaurants, etc. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The apartment is bright, spotless clean, modern with all facilities and comfort. A memorable stay indeed. Highly recommended!
There's a lot to recommend this hotel. First, very friendly reception. I was given a brief orientation of the area, including restaurants, etc. This was a nice touch. Hotel is located right on the Camino. Nice size room and bathroom. Very clean. Excellent beds.
This hotel is a hidden gem. Its modern so everything works, it’s also in a great position for seeing Pontevedra which itself is a beautiful town and the rooms are so spacious with a bedroom and lounge/ kitchen. A great base for seeing the area.
It is right off the Camino as you enter Pontevedra. The restaurant next to it is good though expensive. It was modern. It had a washer where you could do your wash for 5€ with lines for drying or a dryer for an additional cost.
Excellent position beside the old town. Great car parking facility. Comfortable bar with excellent sandwiches. Staff all very attentive. Camino walkers had a day off and really enjoyed Pontevedra.
Everything. I have stayed here before, so that tells you how much I love this place. Would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the area.
