I don’t even want to write a review and spoil what I think...

I don’t even want to write a review and spoil what I think is a real gem. 80-90% of the guests are Spanish families. It’s not a party town for youth and heavy drinking. But instead a clean, wide white-sand beach perfect for learning to surf. Nearby hiking trails - part of the Northern Way of the Camino de Santiago. You can ferry to/from Santander - taxis are expensive about 45-50 Euros for a 15 minute drive from the airport.

My daughter was a little bored but that's because she didn't surf and the weather was way too hot. As an older man, I enjoyed watching the youngsters have fun. Hotel was EXCELLENT value. Staff were wonderful, especially on the desk. I will definitely be going back there. I think my daughter did not enjoy it as much, so I will be going alone next time. Thank you Somo and hotel Bemon Playa for a wonderful break.

The external hotel looked amazing and the location was good. It was clean ans comfortable. The food in the restaurant in the evening was very good it was just a shame the dining room was so empty and lacked any character. One waitress stood in the middle waiting for us and others to finish which made a quiet atmosphere. She didn’t appear to have anywhere else to go and it was weird just standing there all evening when she wasn’t delivering food etc. she was very good for service.

The apartment is very well equipped The owners are very friendly although they don't speak English and we know little Spanish. The apartment is a 10 to 15 minutes walk down to Somo where there are plenty of restaurants. At this time of the year late September the parking is free. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
