SpainEverything was fantastic, Julia the owner, was a lovely person who took care of everything, even she had the chiminea with the fire on and wood for reserve. The apartment was nice and warm when we arrived. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need for a pleasant stay. It would be nice to add a mirror in the bedroom. The restaurant is also very nice, we had a delicious meal prepared by Julia´s mother.
The entire family was very nice, all working in a real team. Hoping to see them soon on our next visit to Trevelez.

United KingdomWe loved the location, although driving up the very steep and sometimes narrow streets is not for the faint hearted! Once there though you are more than rewarded with excellent views from both the apartment and the 'mirador' which is a short walk further up the hill.
The apartment itself was spotlessly clean, comfy and cosy, traditional and yet with all amenities, and as the day drew to a close the horses came through the lanes in front of the property.
We ate at the Virgen de las Nieves cafe which was maybe 30-50 metres away (flat-ish walk). We ordered the plato alpujarreno which was superb - really tasty, and gluten free was no issue. By that time the sun was setting and we were the only visitors left, the local residents were busy catching up whilst some of the local primary school age kids entertained us all by zooming up and down on their electric scooters. Everyone was very relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Bring a sweater as once the sun dips, the temperature drops.

IrelandLovely place for base for exploring the mountains. Very central in the bottom neighbourhood of the town, very close to resturants and shops. The fireplace was a lovely treat to come back to after a long day in the hills.

Small town in the Sierra Nevada.
Small town in the Sierra Nevada. Narrow Streets - and several restaurants (restaurant Fragua is highly recommended!) Well situated for dat hiking - potentially strenous, say 800 vertical meters in 6-7 km. (some 15% climb) -areas with snow in June. Try the Ham Museum as well!

Nice village but we preferred Capeleira, Pampaniera and...
Nice village but we preferred Capeleira, Pampaniera and Bubion where were not so far away from Granada and the coast.
On the plus side, there were very few tourists in Trevelez whereas the other villages of Las Alpujarras had more tourists.

Not the prettiest village in La Alpujarra but it definitely has its charm! Especially the higher up the village you go. It's definitely worth a visit and a good walk around the whole village. It has a few good places to eat at very reasonable prices.

Absolutely 10 out of 10. We had a very warm welcome by the staff. The hotel is very nice, everything is clean and tidy. The staff gave us advices about our stay and even gave us a warm bottle for our hike. We also went to their restaurant, just great. Plenty of healthy options and very tasty.

Lovely traditional house, everything we needed was there and right next to walk ro trevelez mirador, perfect!
Care taker Maria was excellent and explained all the facilities, even helped us with problem with our car when leaving.
