The location was very good for our purpose which was to catch the Aurora. We managed to get 2 great nights of viewing. We enjoyed having the reindeer wander around the property. The sauna was wonderful.

We felt in love with this place! The visit was during the winter season, the place looked like from fairytale. The cozy environtment, the warm fireplace inside made our stay even more enjoyable when it was pretty cold outside from -12 to -24. The amazing thing here is surounding nature. You can observe the squirels eating nuts around 10-12 AM. Please bring some nuts for them and you will see great view 😉 The frozen lake is good location to walk on and to see northen lights. You could also walk on the hill to see them if the lake is not frozen (instructions are left on the guestbook). There are plenty of equipment left for you to use like snowshoes, sleds for winter hikes! Also, make sure that your car starts up properly during cold season. The good thing that there is an EU plug near the parking area for charging your accumulator in case you will have any problems. This place is 60km away from Rovaniemi, so only way to stay here if you have a car. Overall, the atmosphere made our stay very enjoyable. We had everthing we needed during our stay!

The owner and family members are so kind, tell many stories about Finnish traditions. The activities we joined, Ice fishing, snowmobile, and the Christmas dinner were amazing. We really enjoy, the food was superb. I love everything there. Also the 3 friendly dogs.

+ Gigi is very friendly, originally from Mongolia, helped with grilling, gave us sleight, always reminded us on Aurora appearance! + I know we were lucky with timing and all, but we saw aurora at the best, and as we speak with people living in cities - they couldn’t see it, no. So, it is a great location. We tried two trails around, one goes at high altitude and heavy, but worth the view! + Showers and yurts are warm despite -18 outside
