Wimereaux is a typical seaside town, and not one that I would choose to return to except that we required a hotel that took dogs. There are plenty of reasonable quality restaurants and tourist gift shops but nowhere to exercise dogs on grass or a natural surface. The town is clean and generally felt safe (however, as we were eating supper at a restarant on the main street, approximately 50 migrants (one boat load) walked past, heading for the beach. We have visited and stayed in Wimereux many times, sometimes with friends, other times with family. We love it there: it's by the sea, has many restaurants and shops. It's also within a short distance from both the car ferries at Calais, and also the tunnel. Fantastic coastal town, with easy access to the Eurotunnel and ferries. We love visiting every year - so many great places to eat and the beach is wonderful. Also a great location to explore the surrounding area. Wimereux has it all: beautiful walks on the beach and on hills north and south, longer hiking options (beach and countryside) if you want, many restaurants and a few cute cafes and bars, the typical foodtruck with french fries, a small tourism office and many little shops. WW2 history fans, as well as late 19th century fans, will be able to go back in time with a number of nazi bunkers still visible along the beaches and countryside, as you can see the British coast on a clear day from here. On top of that: a bus and a train line bringing you to Boulogne-sur-Mer or Calais regularly, so you don't need a car. Wimereux is a lovely small town, which has retained its charm over the years. Plenty of independent shops, a very well-stocked Carrefour Express and lots of choice of restaurants. We ate at 'La Vie eat Belle' which was excellent. Wimereux is by the sea with a good promenade for walking. It is close to Boulogne-sur-Mer and easy to get to Hardelot, Le Touquet and Calais.Guest review byJuileUnited Kingdom

There was a lift to the appartment. The private parking was a real bonus as sometimes it's very difficult to find a space in Wimereux. Handover of the keys was efficient and simple.
