Really fabulous stay. Lovely rooms, individually decorated, friendly staff, and great meals (dinner & breakfast). I understand it's under a recent management change, and boy does it show. Really friendly and a superb place to stay in the heart of Easingwold.

Hotel is absolutely clean, windows and mirrors are spotless. The entrance and reception is very welcoming and clean. Reception is immaculately clean and neat. No untidy papers or slips lying around. One can sense the staff are taking pride in their work and you immediately know the hotel is very well managed. Hotel has a lovely big garden area to enjoy. Parking in grounds available. Food served is top quality. Cannot fault the hotel. Best stay ever!

We had a great time staying here at Easter. The setting is peaceful and the accommodation was spotless and cosy. The hosts strike the perfect balance of being attentive and giving you space to relax. Nothing was too much trouble. A special highlight was the Easter egg hunt Jo did for our (not so little) kids. We'd definitely love to visit again one day and hopefully get paddle boarding on the river.

The location of The George was ideal as it was so close to family who live in Easingwold. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Finally the staff went the extra mile to make our stay special.

I love coming back to Easingwold as I was born & bred there & my parents lived there until 1976. I left in 1965 to work in London & now live in Hertfordshire. My late husband & I had our wedding reception at the George in 1967. In those days upstairs was one big events room.

Really enjoyed the food in the George.

Really enjoyed the food in the George. The Friday Market is worth a look. It is a good base for visiting other attractions in the area. We checked out Malton, and also visited the Hutts Himalayan Sculpture Park.

A charming small town that is quite vibrant.

A charming small town that is quite vibrant. It has a lot to offer in terms of coffee shops and drink/dining places. On both days we were at Easingwold there were markets that were well attended and quite attractive. The town is easy to get to/from. York is not far away to the south and to the north the A19 takes you to other lovely towns, e.g Thirsk.

We really enjoyed our stay in Little Ings which felt like a lovely home from home. Helen was a wonderful host and she has thought of everything. Lots of little extras which made our stay even more enjoyable. Little Ings was very comfortable, very clean, and in a perfect location right in the centre of Easingwold. Some of the big hotel chains should be asking for tips! Thank-you Helen. I'm sure we'll be back. ☺️

Excellent position. Enjoyed sitting at the table and watching the activity in the Square. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Lovely to have the 2 comfortable sofas and the large smart tv. Kitchen was excellently equipped. Being next to the hotel it was lovely to go next doorand enjoy two excellent meals!

We liked the warm and hospitable welcome from Sheila and Mark. The house was spotlessly clean and the room (No. 2) was comfortable if quite small. Excellent breakfast with a good range of choices. Easingwold is well located for Castle Howard and York and lovely Yorkshire countryside.

I was astounded at the simplicity of the 'hotel'. A few rooms above an Indian restaurant - so dinner was taken care of! - clean, well equipped and furnished. The location was easy to get to but quiet - not far off the A19 but out of Easingwold, yet easy to get to anywhere
