Built on the site of Lulworth’s original watermill, Lulworth Lodge is situated just under a 5-minutes walk to Lulworth Cove. This affordable beachside hotel features 12 simple and stylish bedrooms. Location, food, clean, service, room, bed, coziness, town, ALL was excellent and super enjoyable! Fully recommendable!!!
I feel that the Cove was much more spectacular from a photo than in real life. It is a stone beach not sand and was quite smelly in places with the seaweed. It was really busy and i didn't find it relaxing at all. If you get away from the Cove and find a quieter beach then it is much better.
A great position for an early morning dip in the sea, walking the hills in the area. Handy for visiting Durdle Door, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, and Wareham. It gets quite busy during the summer and weekends. Lots of cafes, restaurants, ice creams, fish and chips to chose from.
We were walking a section of the South West Coastal Path- and the Lulworth Cove area is a particularly stunning section of this. The scenery, geology and history are all fascinating - and we had a great swim at Durdle Door with its famous arch, about 30 mins walk, over the hill from Lulworth Cove.
Wonderful cove, Best viewed from above. The beach in late July is over-run with tourists, as is the walk to Durdle Door, which is stunning but if you want tranquillity best go beyond the tourist trail. The castle was closed and so was the fossil forest.
Stunning location, glad we climbed the hill to see Durdle door, amazing place! Next time I would remember to take a bottle of water. The boat trip around the cove is £10 each and well worth it as you can see the amazing cove from a different perspective and the skipper gave a very interesting guided tour. Some nice souvenir shops and a great fish and chip shop. Plenty of parking.
The Cove is worth visiting to see the cove, rocks and general views. However, it's not a place for a beach holiday with children as the "beach" area around the cove is narrow, very stony, with larger stones/rocks to be crossed in order to get into the water. The little village of Lulworth Cove has some interesting places to eat and good pubs (although expect London prices for the beer!) However, it's on the UK Coastal Path, so there are many wonderful walks throughout the area. Also, the Durdle Door sightseeing area is 30 min walk/climb up the up a path from the Cove (In late July the path is very very busy)

The location is incredible, a minute walk from Lulworth Cove and we had the suite so the view was incredible too! The room was spacious and had a beautiful nautical theme and had a coffee machine, cookies and water. The breakfast menu was great as were the dinner options! Great for veggie options too!

I loved the friendly staff. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast at the Inn. Dinner was breautifully presented and delicious. The honeycomb on the table for breakfast was a particular delight. Price was very reasonable.
