Reason for trip being too short, was accommodation was sub standard, disgusting and disappointing.
Waste of travel money and spoilt birthday surprise. Also cost extra £40 to get home because accommodation was so bad, we could only stay 1night.

I Love Morecambe.
I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch.
There are very few places to eat at night.
Pubs and bars are run down.
Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

Morecambe is in poor shape.
Morecambe is in poor shape. Boarded up and derelict buildings abound. Much of it has the feel of rougher areas of Manchester rather than a coastal resort almost in the Lake District. It also seems too spread out. Instead of the main things being centred around one area, they seem to be dotted about here and there, in a strange, disjoint way.
Hotel was easy to find, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bright, well decorated, with an excellent view of the front. Parking outside is pot luck, but there is cheap public parking only a few hundred yards away if there are no spaces. Breakfast was good - the bacon and sausages were best quality. The owners were happy to recommend places to eat and drink. The lounge is bright and airy and they offer a small bar at reasonable rates or with a donation to charity. We had a good time in morecambe
Really liked the welcome I received from a nice land lady. Although my room was on the top floor the exercise was welcome after a long car journey. The breakfast was nicely cooked and well presented. The breakfast room was spotless and adhered to COVID rules. The breakfast room like the hotel was clean and well presented for such an old building. The nice land lady also proved good local advice of where to dine in the evening. Near to the beach and promenade in the interesting town of Morecambe and location of Morecambe Bay.
Hotel space and Accommodation was of a very high standard throughout.
Cleanliness Standards were unquestionably high.
Staff (Helen in particular) demonstrated a soft approach, very cooperative, friendly and understanding.
Meals were very enjoyable, there was one occasion only , where an issue arose relating to time to take to deliver an order, when challenged the response was professional, timely and understanding which was appreciated.
No issues with pre-booked parking.
I loved that I could lie on the bed and see a beautiful sea view from my window. The hosts were friendly and polite. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious, so tasty and cooked really well with quality produce. The hotel was cleaned to a good standard. I felt safe and secure as a lone guest. Located near to attractions in Morecambe. En-suite shower worked well. Room had everything I needed including hand sanitizer and wash, hair dryer, heater and fan. Will definitely be back!
The room was small, but the view across Morecambe Bay to the mountains was wonderful. We thought the staff members were all lovely. They were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. It was great to be able to store our bicycles in an empty room near Reception. The breakfast was good - ample and with plenty of choice and good coffee. We cycled each day, starting on the cycle path just yards from the hotel, on the promenade.
Very easily accessible, close to excellent amenities. Very clean and extremely well equipped. We were staying overnight for a family funeral in Morecambe with three branches of the family attending from Scotland and Leeds. It was an ideal base and Mark was extremely accommodating and very informative. Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and Bottled Water was also provided.
Everything! David is so thoughtful! Beautiful accommodation, location and very friendly. Nothing was too much. The couple that are there for breakfast are lovely too! ( Sorry didn't get their name) Will be back again! If you're looking for a beautiful and relaxing place to stay in Morecambe, you won't regret this choice!
The room was a little dated but clean and well appointed and good for the rate. Breakfast was a hot and cold buffet served in a dining room with a view of Morecambe Bay. Parking on the street is free. It is located within walking distance of the Platform venue. Also convienient for the Lancashire coastal walk.
Breakfast was exceptional - great food and good portions. We were breaking our journey from Exmoor to Skye so the location was a perfect half-way point to stop overnight. We had our dog with us as well, and the hotel was very pet-friendly, and across the street from the dog-friendly beach.
Hotel in fantastic location - very central, beautiful view overlooking Morecambe Bay and the mountains of the Lake District beyond. Rooms, en suite etc were spotlessly clean, lovely comfortable bed, fabulous breakfast. Can't praise this hotel enough, would highly recommend!
The location of the Midland Hotel is stunning and the hotel makes good use of this with a curved glass frontage for spectacular views over the bay while dinning. Staff were always pleasant and helpfull but we felt inexperienced and overwhelmed at times.
friendly welcoming great food i would highly recommend this hotel this was my 2nd or third visit always stay or go for a drink entertainment fantastic staff brilliant best place in Morecambe a real local place handy for town
