One of the most amazing places. Beaches are wide and long with lot of place for finding a secluded corner just for yourself, sea is warm and beautiful with alluring colours and views are breathtaking. We loved Kato Nissi beach and Lefki and enjoyed snorkelling over ancient Pavlipetra city. The village of Elafonisos is vivid with lot of tavernas and places for enjoyable evenings. Perfect holiday spot. Anywhere you sit you’ll get good food and good service. Moving around the island is easy, but you’ll need a car. Getting to Elafonisos is also easy with ferries going from Pounta every 30 minutes with costs of 16 EUR for 2 adults and a vehicle.Guest review byMilenaSerbia - 10.0

Ideal place for a short (3-4 days) holiday. Beautiful beaches (although when it is windy there are waves), and lots of tavernas and fish restaurants in the port. To get there is a 4.5 hours drive from Athens to Pounta, and a 15 mins ferry ride from Pounta to Elafonisos with several ferries crossing every 30 mins. We just returned from another wonderful 9-day trip to Elafonisos — a place we visit every year and never get tired of. The island remains one of Greece’s true hidden gems, with incredible beaches like Simos and Panagia, crystal-clear waters, and a peaceful, authentic atmosphere. We always make a point to visit outside the peak months of July and August, when the island is quieter and even more enjoyable. Everything is within easy reach — great tavernas, cafés, and small shops — and the pace of life is exactly what we need to unwind. Elafonisos is a quaint island with a nice selectin of shops, local artists, great restaurants, and several beautiful beaches. We spent most of our two full days at Simi Beach during the day and in the little town in the morning and evening, but I wish we had stayed two more days and spent more time at the other beaches. It had an amazing view of the sea which made it truly relaxing when waking up to it every morning. Very close the the most famous beaches of the island. The host was extremely friendly and gave a true example of the “Greek Philoxenia”! She was there from the first moment and until we left, for anything that we might have needed. The staff was magnificent and the apartments real great with all amenities needed. To make this place of higher Niveau a pool and a parking lot close to it would be the needed additions. The owner is a really nice guy and really helpful. From the looks of it this apartment hotel was the best choice. No other place seemed appealing except maybe a hotel at Simos Beach. We arrived a bit late and the hostess was waiting us with a refreshing juice. Our apartment was cleaned daily and we always found some surprises waiting us when we returned, a chocolate, fresh eggs, there was always something.
