It's a medium-size Greek town, more like a village, with...

It's a medium-size Greek town, more like a village, with some bakeries, coffee shops and supermarkets. There is a fancy meat restaurant called Costa, but the food is too American, to our taste, so we preferred local flavors and went to tavernas/restaurants in different places. Costa, however, is a great place to eat in terms of cozy ambience and good service. Our favorite place was the beach, of course. We walked to Liapades beach and rented sunbeds there for 15-20 euros for 2 beds and umbrella. You can rent boats or canoe there too. Rovinia beach is also within a walking distance but it's a wild beach, no beds, just pebbles and a rather steep hike down on a stone path, so wear good shoes, not flipflops if you decide to go there. It's beautiful. The town itself is very safe, easy to walk around, they had a music festival when we were there, people danced, seemed very happy. Overall, it's a quiet safe beach town, with easy access to other places if you rent a car and if you don't, just spend time on Liapades or Rovinia beach. Several famous hiking trails are nearby as well.

Pool is great for families lots of space and area around. Quick walk to restaurants and 5-10 min walk to beach downhill...bit of a hill coming up.. We would definitely go to Rovinia beach over main beach, it was crystal clear. Go early in morning before it's busy , there is a fruit van on your way out which is perfect for the walk home ...

Accommodation was great, the pool was cold but superb and at this time of year (September) we had it virtually to ourselves! Surrounding countryside & scenery was lovely, and with a car it's a great location. It's a longish and steep walk down to the beach though, which isn't all that great when you get there, but to be fair neither was the weather the day we did go down. Other beaches in the area are equally awkward to access via long steep pathways. No doubt they're worth the effort but we didn't make it. The nicest (gently shelving, seaweed-free) beaches that we came across were Issos and Kontogialos, both of which are a good drive away, but well worth the effort.

Liapades is a quiet village sited close to a number of beaches. The town itself is a little way from the beach - c20 minutes walk. It has 2 well stocked supermarkets and a few of bars/restaurants. If you continue down the road to the beach there are also a number of restaurants and bars sited there - note - it's a steep walk!. If you're after a boozy lads/lasses holiday this isn't the place for you. Much more geared towards families and couples. The beach itself is lovely and offers sun loungers for hire as well as boat hire and boat trips. The village is served by a bus but I'm not sure how often they run as we were flagged down a couple of times by people waiting asking if we knew if they were waiting in the right place.

Beautiful beach, sun loungers available and never overcrowded. 20 euros for two beds and umbrella for shade. Two bars and a restaurant on the beach as well as two boat rental companies who offer a variety of boats to rent for reasonable pricing, no boat license needed. Plenty of restaurants around between the beach and main Liapades town and quick taxi or boat over to Paleokastritsa.

The property was amazing it is modern, clean and very well equipped. It is located in a beautiful village with some amazing tavernas and it is walking distance to some of the best beaches on the island, and also only half an hours drive from the airport. The family was very helpful and kind and made sure our stay was perfect, we had our little 1 year old daughter with us and they provided us with all the essentials. We were very sad to leave and cannot wait to return.

Great location in the heart of a traditional Greek village! Decor was stylish and modern and renovated to a high standard. Had a very cosy feel and the small terrace area outside was great for enjoying a nice glass of wine in the evening and soaking up the atmosphere. The nearby beaches are some of the best on the Island. Florent & Léna were great hosts and extremely helpful!

Our stay at Rokamare was excellent. The location is unbeatable, right above Liapades beach, where you can easily go down for a swim, have a drink, or even rent a boat to explore the beautiful nearby beaches. The apartment had stunning sea views and was surrounded by lush green mountains, which made the setting even more special. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming.

The apartment was lovely and in a good location to walk to beaches including Liapades town beach and Rovinia. Was also within walking distance of some great tavernas and the bus stop to Corfu. We were met by the host who is a very kind and friendly person. It was lovely to see her well cared for cats around the grounds of the property, just generally living the best life.
