We booked a room here for a few days to escape the summer heat. We chose Nymfes Hotel because it looked nice on their website and was well located near restaurants and cafes. As soon as we walked in the door we knew we had chosen the right place. Charming, tastefully simple and atmospheric we were graciously greeted and shown to our room. I would characterize the hotel as both comfortable and elegant, completely unpretentious. The hotel serves a variety of good, home-made light dishes at nearly any hour but excels at breakfast with everything from pancakes, to omelets, fresh fruits, yogurt, etc. and if you’re there on the right day- birthday cake. The last thing I should add is the spa on the ground floor. We spent an hour in the hammam which was lovely but I wish we had also spent some time in the jacuzzi as well.

The breakfast has local traditional portage and pastry, very good. The location is in the middle of uphill town with many small steep cobble streets. The host was kind enough to walk to the church parking lot to get me and directed me to their place. The host and hostess are very quick in responding to phone and text message for directions. There is a private parking lot just beside the building. They have their own cafe/restaurant, and their own brand of dry red wine taste superb.

This charming apartment in the beautiful village of Sklithro was one of the highlights of my visit to this beautiful region of Greece. Anneta was friendly and very welcoming (Including bringing me delicious homemade snacks each day of my!). The apartment has a large patio with a view of the beautiful mountains surrounding the village. The apartment itself is very comfortable, and fully appointed with a small kitchen area and a nice bathroom. The apartment is decorated with antiques that evoke the charm of the old village life, And the inside of the apartment itself is lined with the beautiful, old stonework representative of these villages. But it feels fully modern in its comfort (TV, microwave, fridge, etc). I look forward to visiting this village again (and another stay at Anneta's).
