Volosz is an interesting town with several sights to see...
Volosz is an interesting town with several sights to see both in town and in the surroundings. You can taste the way of Greek life there. People are kind and easy going. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy nice Greek food. In the surroundings you can find wonderful beaches and seashores as well as nice mounten villages(Makrenica). You can organize a complex vacation if you go there: hiking, paddling (Damukari Shakayak is just perfect) , just enjoying the beaches and sunbathing; cultural activities in the museums and archeological sites (eg Dimini).

Volos is one of the most amazing cities in Greece with close proximity to both beautiful mountains and villages and the lovely islands of Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonissos. The region is still recovering from the catastrophic floods of 2023... so for now its mostly the mountains around Pylion that are most attractive.ChristosSwitzerland - Scored 1010

Underrated city in Greece with good food and local Tsipouro servings. Near by Pelion mountain with beautiful traditional villages can be explored and a lot of local products like cheese, honey and olive oil can be acquired directly from the local producers.

The recent natural flood disaster affected all Volos and surrounding regions. I hope that as a country, they will overcome these problems as soon as possible and return to normal life. I wish the whole country to get well soon. Volos is a beautiful city with plenty interesting places to visit. Many restaurants with excellent food, museums, small and big shops, busy streets with excellent, positive atmosphere. If you like waking , there is a long pedestrian area next to the see! Beautiful hotels with the sea views! Volos is a city that offers many things to explore and the most beautiful beaches not far away!
