NetherlandsI liked the hotel very much. It was spotless clean, very comfortable room for 2 adults and a kid. The room had toiletries, hairdryer. It had a nice balcony, air-conditioning, nice smart tv. There was parking underneath the hotel, the pool area was clean and nice, the breakfast was also very good. They also provided us with towels for the pool. The spa and pool WC area were also very clean. There is a supermarket opposite the hotel and you can easily walk to the port.

A Four Season Paradise
Green mountains, long sandy beaches, traditional villages and snowy slopes characterise the beautiful region of Pelion. The mythological land of the Centaur, Mount Pelion is full of hiking trails, springs, gorges and streams.
During winter you can visit the ski resort of Agriolefkes, which has 4 slopes and ski lifts in constant operation. Situated to the northern side of Pelion, Pelion Ski Resort offers stunning views of the Aegean Sea.
During summer, you can relax on the crystal clear beaches on the east coast and southern part of the peninsula. Milopotamos beach is surrounded by a picturesque landscape with large rocks and greenery, while the long sandy beach of Horefto has deep blue waters and several facilities for swimmers.
A perfect combination of mountain and sea, Pelion has around 24 villages including Makrinitsa, Portaria, Tsagarada, Zagora, Chorefto and Afissos. All villages have traditional houses with thick stone walls, tiny windows and roofs covered with grey slate. Most of the houses are decorated with fine artwork, carpets and antiques. Excellent location in the central part of the city, but not in busy streets, with a beautiful view of the park and sea. There is a possibility to park a car in a nearby garage, but the maximum of the car is 1,85m. Hotel's staff helped and quickly resolved this issue. Another great thing is a family room for 5 people (2 adults and 3 teenage children), that is basically hard to find in the hotels. The room consists of two rooms, a bathroom and a corridor, with two spacious terraces. On the top floor/ roof is a cafe bar with astonish city view. The breakfast was good and plenty.

a very unique and comfortable boutique hotel, in front of the water. It has only 6 rooms. Rooms 4-5-6 are front line to the water. The hotel staff (around 10, I think) takes very good care of any need.
The couple who own the place are also available all the time, providing support, the owner Mr., Christos personally helped us by valet parking of our car when needed.

We loved the location, the pool, and the nearby restaurants . But what really made it special for the six of us was the amazing breakfasts and the super friendly and helpful staff! They were fantastic and even packed breakfast and lunch for us on the day we left early in the morning to go to Meteora. It’s a beautiful place but the staff makes it extra special!!

It was SO welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. My husband and I will absolutely be staying here again! It’s run by very kind people. It’s an inexpensive option that has everything you need. They let us have the free breakfast on our balcony and made Greek coffee! Couldn’t say more good things about Hotel Jason. Please stay here!

Volos was a lovely and pleasant city, but unfortunately, the most beautiful beaches were almost an hour away by car.
Overall, the food was very good, especially the meat. Volos was a clean and pleasant city, and considering that we visited in mid-August, I expected it to be extremely crowded, but surprisingly it wasn’t, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Nearby, Portaria and Makrinitsa were also beautiful places and definitely worth visiting.

Agios Ioannis is a rare gem for those who prefer a green and less crowded place on the Greek seaside.
It's easier to get there by car, but after that you won't need it at all.
It has everything you need - supermarkets, cafes, cocktails bars, sandy beaches and clear water, hiking trail to Damoucharri, even restaurants where I was able to eat as a celiac.
It's been only my second time here but I think I'll become a regular.

Very beautiful traditional Greek mountain village with small shops (local products) and few restaurants. Difficult to find parking in the center of the village, one public parking but it's very small. Easy to make road trips around Pelion area - go around if you have a car, this is one of the most beautiful regions in Greece (also in summer, not only winter). Some part of the roads (in Pelion area, not in Portaria) were destroyed in winter 2024 during storms. Unfortunately, they were still destroyed in July 2024. You can go around by car, roads are not closed, but needs a bit attention in many places and wouldn't recommend to drive at night (dark). Time from Portaria to beach (Agios Ioannis, Papa Nero) took from us abt 40 min so take your time. To Village "Kala Nera" (nice beach, long with plenty of place in July) a bit less.

It is a nice place.
It is a nice place. A bit far and not so easy to reach, but definitely worth of visiting. There is a long public beach of about 2 km of length and a nudist beach (Parisena's) of about 400 meters, so there is a place for everyone.
The restaurants are good, but tricky: the waiters are bringing you unwanted stuff like bottled water, bread, which aren't included into the price of the meal you order and the bills are not detailed, so you have the feeling of being cheated. Chorefto is nice for long evening walks, and you also have hiking trails alongside the sea. There's a lot of stray dogs, cats and mosquitoes (so take a repellent with you!).

The village may look small, but it has everything you need – supermarkets, souvenir shops, cozy restaurants and cafés, a bakery, a children’s playground, and a newly renovated church. From here, you can enjoy a walk along the promenade to Kato Gatzea or Koropi. A short 10-minute drive takes you up into the mountains to the beautiful villages of Vizitsa and Milies. In the other direction, you can visit the Voliotis family olive mill or head to Ano Lechonia to catch the little train for a picturesque ride through the mountains.

Have a romantic dinner at Dipnosofistis and enjoy the most succulent grill at Barbacostas or Kalyvi. Take the path to the beaches Ntamouhari and Fakistra. Make sure you have a drink at the atmospheric "Anapodo platani" bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Walk as much as you can in the paths in and around Tsagkarada.

it’s one of those places that feels authentically Greek without being overcrowded.
What makes it special is the combination of:
a lush mountain setting from the Pelion peninsula,
calm turquoise beaches,
traditional stone houses and olive groves,
and a relaxed waterfront lined with tavernas and cafés.
It’s also tied to Greek mythology — according to legend, Jason and the Argonauts stopped there for water before their voyage for the Golden Fleece.
it’s a great base for exploring the rest of Pelion, including villages like Milies and the famous Pelion mountain railway.

Mouresi is a beautiful village close to the nicest beaches in Pelion. I loved walking around it and spending time in the local Vaggelis tavern with amazing food and drinks. It is very close to the coast yet it's a little bit uphill so it is fresher and easier to sleep at night. There are fun hiking trails going through Mouresi that connect it with beaches in Damouchari and Agios Ioannis.

Quiet village in first week of July. We stayed for 5 nights and that was just right to be able to relax and see the west coast of Pelion. Small shop in village stocks essentials. 2 tavernas and one cafe by the beach - all very good quality and recommended.
