- super nice staff in the resort and during the transfer - beautiful beaches and infinitely pool - local and western food at breakfast buffet - we were upgraded to a privat pool beach view villa because one of the windows in the original house broke

We love Kelong Trikora! It's an amazing place, my husband (Indian Singaporean) and I (German) spent 4 days there over Chinese New Year. The team there, especially Linda and Eric, set a new standard to customer service! They are so deeply caring for each guest, it's touching. When it rained they placed an umbrella outside of every villa, so that guest wouldn't get wet on their way to dinner, when we wanted to go on a trip and the hotel driver was unavailable Linda called several taxi companies and in the end offered to drive us with the staff car, even when the fan did not immediately work three people showed up and got it fixed within 10mins. Kelong Trikora is a very quiet resort with a beautiful pool and 10 separate huts. The cuisine is out of this world, even though the menu is a bit limited (focus on Indonesian and Chinese), so many of the dishes were simply the best (can recommend the fish curry, the sotong bakar, the kailan and kangkong and as daily special chicken satay, each main about 180K, veggies 75-90K). It takes about an hour from the ferry terminal Bandar Bintan Telani (Lagoi) and from the resort we went to the blue lakes and sand dunes (1hr drive, absolutely worth it!). We tried the restaurants in the two resorts next to this and got utterly disappointed, food was horrible and the service even worse, so we would next time just stick to the resort kitchen. All the staff is very nice and chitchatty if you're open to it, but not forcing conversations upon anybody. For my husband's birthday I asked them to please help me get a chocolate cake and they got a super cute beautiful cake for me. The only thing to keep in mind is that you're dependant on the hotel's transport (so plan a bit in advance and let them know) and that during low tide the water draws back about 1km, so not really for swimming in the sea, but the pool is amazing and the whole area is covered in nice fluffy green grass, so nice to walk around barefoot.

We cherished the attention to detail, cleanliness, effort to use as little plastic as possible, friendliness, attentive, accommodating staff, and ease with which everything was organised—and it was all well organised—made us feel like they had put in a lot of effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable, yet made it look effortless. The beach and the water were clean, thanks also to frequent cleaning. The pool was a fantastic alternative to bathing in the sea. The massage services were soooo good! The atmosphere was calm and quiet. Often, we would have short and friendly chats with other guests. We found they had an excellent way of treating you like a guest, neither imposing friendship nor treating you like a client from whom to squeeze the money. Our stay was enriched by the deeper conversations we had, which revealed the hotel's commitment to more than just profit. We learned that the hotel is not just a business but also a platform for personal growth, especially for the young women of the surrounding villages. It's a place where they can learn from client interactions and use these experiences as a stepping stone to shape their own lives. As one person put it, it's as much a social endeavour as it is an economic one.

Nice place and very friendly staff, help us plan and take care of all the needs ahead of time and during the stay. Tasty food, pleasant setting, nice for a quick getaway from city.

The entire weekend was excellently managed. The staff were extremely helpful and eager to accommodate all our requests. The food was also great.

Perfect chill vibes for kitesurfing

I love villa aqua. Love the room. Very breezy. Love the pool and the spacious toilet. Love the resort room service. We ordered our lunch and dinner in our room on our 1st day. Food was awesome. We basically love everything about the resort. The staff are friendly too. Will come and stay here again!

The staff were friendly and attentive, making the stay very comfortable. The room was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet offered a good variety of delicious local and international options. The location was convenient, close to key landmarks and amenities.

Limited food option but the food was tasty and price was a lot cheaper than what you would pay at a top resort in Bintan. Beach is nice. Overall I feel it's a budget quick getaway option for those who like to spend less on rooms.
