The Dunraven, Adare, hotel in Adare

The Dunraven Arms, established in 1792, is an award-winning oasis of tranquillity, surrounded by mellow thatched cottages, offering the ambience of a country house with fine service and friendly...

Hotel is a bit tired but this adds to the character and whilst some improvements could be made this should be considered carefully to make some updates of decor without losing the character

Spacious, comfortable accommodation. Scrupulously clean. Very reasonably priced. The owners were exceptionally friendly & helpful. Drove us into Adare village when a taxi service was unavailable. Breakfast available to us in nearby cafe was delicious with lots of choice.

Garrane House, hotel in Adare

Garrane House is situated 1.5 km from Croom village and 20 km from Limerick. You will find a garden and a shared lounge on the property. Breakfast is served in the dining room.

The calm and tranquillity of this property was most welcome after a busy time touring the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle peninsula. Kathleen welcomed us to her home and showed us to a lovely large bedroom. Since the Booking.com list of facilities she has added a kettle and tea making facilities in a quaint dressing cupboard. This was just what we needed. The ample smorgasbord breakfast the next morning with fresh fruit, smoked salmon, ham and cheese along with home made breads and pastries made a pleasant change from the full Irish breakfasts we had enjoyed elsewhere. We had a wonderful night’s sleep in the total calm of this beautiful home.

Bunratty Manor Hotel, hotel in Adare

4 miles from Shannon Airport, Bunratty Manor is a small family-run hotel, just a 5-minute walk from Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The Manor Restaurant serves local game and seafood.

We were driving the "Wild Atlantic Way" and Bunratty was chosen because it's between Galway and Dingle. Bunratty Manor Hotel was a real surprise. It's tastefully appointed with generous, comfortable rooms. The staff are lovely and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend a stay here. It's a gem!

Tourists can't enter Adare Manor unless they stay overnights or dine at two different restaurants. We booked breakfasts and then walked around to enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere inside. It was a fantastic morning in Adare.

Lovely village to walk around with lots of shops.

Lovely village to walk around with lots of shops. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. Due to this most of the shops were closed or closing when we arrived and we didn't have time the following morning to get a really good look around. Only one of the pubs in the village offered live music on the night we were there and as we didn't have a booking they wouldn't let us in. Great little cafes for breakfast with good coffee.

We stayed in the Dun Raven Arms, great hotel, owner present...

We stayed in the Dun Raven Arms, great hotel, owner present all the time and very friendly, and you could see his staff got on really well with him. We went up the town and had a few drinks in Bill Chawks pub up around the corner from the hotel. He has another pub called Auntie Lena's but the Bill Chawk Pub is nicer. We went for a good walk by the river passed a Church of Ireland and arrived back on the walk in the middle of the town. I think maybe 2 miles. Dinner bed and Breakfast in the Dun Raven was super. We were not on a deal just B&B but had dinner there. We had dinner there before we had stayed and it was lovely so that's why we came back. It had been very busy that day and we met the owner Mr. Murphy and he gave us a table. I think if we had not met him we may not have got that table. I would give the mark out of 10, 10 out of 10. We also had a beautiful room No 65 with a dressing room, a bathroom, a two seater couch and a very big room. thank you Paul M Paul M

This was a beautifully maintained, relatively small facility with perfectly maintained rooms. It was spotlessly cleaned throughout. The included breakfast was made to order freshly for each guest. The hosts payed personal attention to us, and we felt like we were at home. The shops and pubs were a 5-minute walk away.

I always enjoy the hotel and it’s always very comfortable...

I always enjoy the hotel and it’s always very comfortable and warm. Again ordering breakfast for two should only cost five euro for two not ten each day which I thought was too much. Room service menu could be changed . Again we had a pizza and a sandwich and it was not cheap. When we booked the hotel initially they only told us they would only need card number to hold the room but when we arrived at hotel we realised that they had taken whole amount without asking us. I was very annoyed . When queuing this action the secretary said it was a very busy weekend and that is why. I have stayed in few four or Five star hotels on a very busy weekend and they didn’t do that to us. I hope it won’t happen again.

Taking a walk around the Maigue River is something we like to do when in Adare. Also, Adare has one of the nicest Tourist Information Centers in all of Ireland. You can get info, eat, shop, get directions, even ice cream. Dunraven Arms Hotel is a delightful place to stay.Adare has a lovely park which is charming for children and adults.

What a place! simply stunning hotel in a beautiful location. We had heavy rain, but it did not detract from the splendour of the building and grounds. Quiet and tranquil, a perfect overnight on our motorcycle tour of Ireland. The lady who looked after us was extremely pleasant and helpful, and breakfast was sumptuous.
