The hotel is a bit of the beaten track, which is great since there's not going to be much noise. Located just outside of Bantry, you're a 5 minute drive from the town. The hotel is splendid. It's beautiful, outside and inside. Rooms are big (we did have the Jr Suite), well appointed and charming. We even had a door to the garden, which was great since we're travelling with a dog. The room even has a top notch nespresso machine... very helpful in the morning. Breakfast was very good, all inclusive with a buffet and on order any type of hot breakfast, and of course a full Irish breakfast. They have a very nice and modern spa facility, including seaweed bath.

    The whole stay was excellent.

The whole stay was excellent. Eden Crest is outside of the town of Bantry, where the eating places are. Fine if you are a good walker, it’s not too far so it wouldn’t be expensive to get a taxi if you didn’t want to drive in.

Limited things to fill the day. The hotel on the N71 towards Cork just out of Bantry was excellent for food and views. We would have struggled to spend a second day in Bantry. It was a Friday when we were there and the market was worth a visit

Bantry has changed over the years not completely for the better. A number of the smaller shops have gone. I miss Hickies, the music shop above all the others. We ate at The Brick Oven. It used to be good but has gone downhill. My wife was ill after our visit. We shall not go there again

Bantry is an interesting and sweet little gem.

Bantry is an interesting and sweet little gem. I discovered a walk around the town that starts with walking on a path right on the water, goes up a steep road that at top gives a terrifically beautiful view back down the hill of the water and other locales of Bantry area. It made me stop and take in the beauty. We took some salad bar items back to Barry's B+B for a meal or 2. Great variety, tasty breakfast items, at Barry's. Stayed away from the best fish restaurant this time. It is nice to improvise sometimes and save a few bucks, too. The market, fair day (Fridays) has burritos, falafels (Israeli couple) to die for. Look around.

Bantry was just closing from the tourist season and there were plenty of tourists about. We arrived on a Friday and the local market was in full swing in the town square with an array of food stalls and organic Veg and clothing stalls and more, Food and beverage was affordable and tasty. Great views of Bantry Bay and goo transport to Cork City

Warm greeting and host learnt and remembered our names. Everywhere immaculate. Room spacious with everything you needed available. USB plug adapter provided. Very large and comfortable bed. Toiletries provided. Wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit, cereals and cooked breakfast to follow if you wanted. Probably the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in over many years. Better than a lot of hotels.

We enjoyed the breakfast and personal attention of the owners. At the end of a long day exploring it is lovely to be able to sit outside and watch the sun setting over the bay. We loved the gentleness and olde worlde charm of Dromcloc House and hope to visit again soon.
