Located in Ballina's main street, The Loft is just yards from the River Moy, known for its salmon fishing. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the building. Even though my room faced the main st and was right over the pub, it couldn’t have been more peaceful for sleeping. The room was clean, spacious and equipped with every amenity. Check-in and out was easy and, whether for a hearty breakfast in the morning or a nightcap, the pub’s fire was always going and both it and the hospitality was warm!

Nice hotel great friendly staff very helpful and courtesy great food and excellent service and nice quiet bar customer service very helpful duty manager excellent service some parking in underground car park and prices for 4 nights b/b well priced room and bathroom very clean could not complain about anything great river views.
Kids club staff where brilliant. Bar staff where shocking not friendly at all and kept messing up meal orders. Both dinners where wrong. Service at breakfast was so slow. Where not allowed sit in bar unless having dinner kept being ushered to the sit in reception and then only two seats at each table out there. Not suitable if more than 2 people in your party
Good choice of restaurants and bars although some restaurants not open in winter midweek. Amazing scenery with a drive up the coast. next time would love to play some golf I hear the courses are fab nearly
Nice easy-going coastal town. Very walkable. Beautiful cathedral; and views of the Moy and its many bridges. All the usual chain shops and one-offs. Lots of nice cafes and restaurants (eg. Michelle's). Good transport links by bus and train. Well positioned for visiting many places of interest all around the north west and west. Friendly people. You don't go there for the weather though (misty rain at a moment's notice, but not exactly a shock.) Relaxed atmosphere.
Went to a very good resturant called Dillans with easy parking locally Good food and polite staff really first class. I went salmon fishing but caught nothing, a wee bit late in the season is my excuse this time. I have visited this area quite often for the fishing so I know my way around.
Ballina is a huge town and we found it very hard to find our way around it. There are plenty of shops, lots of lovely walks and great places to eat. The land and scenery is very flat around the area. We travelled north to Sligo and found a lovely beach in Enniscrone for the dog.
Amanda was fantastic and she went out of her way to let us arrive early and everything was laid on that you could need within the apartment for a few days stay, all the little extras that were left made it a wonderful place to stay the apartment was very comfortable and situated in the centre of town, couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would recommend it to anyone that was planning to visit Ballina for a few days or a few weeks and would definitely stay there again if I was visiting thank you for a lovely stay.
Ballina
Great location, beautiful and peaceful place at the coast. Close to the big , amazing beach, great place for surfers or for nice long walks. Around 30 min drive to Ceide Fields ( archaeological site of North Mayo) and around 20 min to Downpatrick Head. The host Michaela was amazing. Very nice and helpful person. She provided all the information about the area, what to see, where to go. And breakfast...very very good typical irish breakfast with joghurts, cereals and fruits. Highly recommended place!
Ballina
Mary the host is a lovely, friendly, warm person, we had a great chat with her. The house is very homely and comfortable and the bedroom we stayed in was faultless with a comfy bed and great shower, what more do you need? I am a coeliac and Mary made great efforts to accommodate my requirements. Would highly recommend and will certainly stay there again if in Ballina.
Breakfast was great; good selection on the buffet; the cocked breakfast was very good, and the staff so friendly; they couldn't do enough for us. Had dinner in the hotel's restaurant; we both had a different fish dish, and it was excellent; the fish tested so fresh, and the portion was a good size.
