Our stay at Riverbench was amazing! We booked it for 3 nights, but right after arriving, we could see how nice and comfortable it was, so we asked to extend our stay for 2 extra nights. Mr. Sabu, Mrs. Mini and their son and daughter-in-law were all so welcoming and friendly! Mrs. Mini's home cooked food was delicious! And the wifi was the best we had in all of India. The beds were very comfortable and big, and it was quiet and nicely dark at night. The location is in a rainforest setting and the view is like something at a fancy luxury resort. You can walk down to the river to swim in a little waterhole, and you can also walk up to a water fall area with big rocks to walk around. One of the days while we were there, we walked the 20 minutes up to the main highway and took a public bus to Munnar to explore there a bit (and buy some chocolate). Otherwise, we just relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our quiet, low-key days at the house. We highly recommend staying at Riverbench!

Imagine a sparkling clean room with a huge balcony outside, in a middle of an amazing spice garden, surrounded by a beautiful forest, when theres a stream across the road with cool water to bath in. And above all - a wonderful host that helps with everything, immediate responder, very good cook and such a good man with a beautiful family. You dont need to imagine - because you will have all of this in East Stavanger. We are a family of four, two little kids, and had an amazing time there. We will come back as soon as we can. Don't miss the stay here!

The location is beautiful with an amazing view from every angle. The room was extraordinary with a balcony and view to the mountains from every window. Very comfortable sheets and bed. The food is delicious and the staff is very helpful. They helped us book every tour and cab that we needed. We loved the pool and taking the yoga class in the morning.

    The homestay is surrounded by lush greenery, and in the morning, you can hear birds chirping. Taking a fresh bath in the natural small waterfall near the property was wonderful. The rooms were neat, and the toilets were big and clean. The host was excellent and very helpful. He assisted us in planning our itinerary and suggested good drivers (auto/taxi) for sightseeing. The breakfast served was typical Kerala style, very tasty and mouthwatering. I definitely recommend everyone to try this homestay.
