The hotel was recently renovated and it was very, very nice. Interesting aesthetic, nice bar and seating area. The staff was nice. They had two hot tubs in the courtyard but somehow they looked a little sad when compared to the natural ones we'd seen. But not a ding on the hotel - overall very nice place to stay.

It's a tower! So cool. You can go up to the room on the top floor, and there's a great view of the surrounding farmland. Other reviews mentioned the rooms were small, but they are only small by American standards. I thought they were very clean and comfortable.

Great location just a short drive away from Gullfoss and the Geysir. Houseowner Silke very kindly compiled a resource manual with maps, suggestions, routes etc which was very helpful. The bathrooms were huge and clean. Simple spread of basic breakfast. Overall, a nice place for a short stay!
