What charming and lovely hotel. In the middle of nature. Looks like brand new and the decoration is simple and marvelous. Service was attentive and friendly. Long wide windows open to the nature. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended.

Everything was great! Rooms are nice and clean, shared bathrooms on each floor *perfectly* clean. Breakfast is quiet interesting. There are a several rest rooms and one main dining area. Location is great, 15mins of driving from Egilsstadir. They also have a laundry service for a decent price.

Fljótsdalsgrund is a recently renovated guest house in Valþjófsstaður where guests can make the most of its garden and bar.

The place is beautiful, surrounded by nature and perfect to disconnect. Everything is built in wood and inside it’s completely new, very comfortable and well equipped (kitchen, spacious bathroom, comfortable beds). Breakfast and dinner are amazing, prepared with organic products from their own farm. Every detail is carefully thought out and nothing is missing. The location, a bit secluded, makes it ideal for relaxing and even for a spiritual retreat.
