Arco is a lovely town, on the river and quite near to Lake Garda. It has a beautiful square where there is often live music, with churches and some fine buildings. Plenty of restaurants and gelateria, and other shopping infrastructure. The castle on the hill is worth a visit - but wait until the weather is cooler, as it is quite a climb!! If you love mountains Arco is a paradise. Very nice and friendly town located in the heart of beautiful Alps. Great for outdoor enthusiasts, if you love hiking or cycling you will find it a great base, with the added benefit of many great outdoor equipement shops. The town is just big enough to offfer a lot of bars, restaurants, shops and services, yest small enough to forget about your car and just walk around. Such an amazing place- quiet place to relax and connect with nature and yourself! Friendly people, amazing places to eat. Can cycle to nearby Torbole and Riva del Garda and back in a few hours. Small, quiet, calm town.
Small, quiet, calm town. There are no huge crowds of tourists, what makes it different from the crowded Riva del Garda or Limone sul Garda. Here you don't have to wait for free seats in a restaurant. Here you don't have to waste your vacation time standing in queues. At the same time, there is no problem getting to the lake.
