Located in different locations in Burano, 8 km from Venice, Casa Burano Experience by Venissa boasts local designer furnishings, air-conditioned rooms and free WiFi throughout the property. The walk to breakfast was amazing through the little winery! The room was fantastic!!
Offering rooms on Mazzorbo and Burano Islands in the northern Venetian Lagoon, renovated Venissa is surrounded by its orchard and vineyards. I recommended this property to my colleagues who are very seasoned travelers and were coming from a week-long yacht trip in Croatia. They loved it and were blown away.
Set in Burano, 32 km from Sottomarina, Tiffany Home offers a shared lounge and free WiFi. it was a nice welcome from marta and her mom at tiffany home... it's a very lovely and beautifully designed apartment, spacious and furnished with much love, flooded with light and has exceeded our expectations very far ... we would have liked to stay longer and come back, promised marta ...
Night Galleria - bed & art is a detached holiday home situated in Burano Island in the Veneto Region. The property boasts views of the Venice lagoon. Super friendly owners! They even had some small snacks available for us and the place is absolutely gorgeous!
Boasting a shared lounge and a terrace, Casa sul Cielo di Burano features accommodation in Burano with free WiFi and city views. The air-conditioned accommodation is 3.1 km from Cavallino-Treporti. This is my favorite Airbnb. The host, Filippo is the best, most hospitable, kindest person I’ve ever met. Answers every phone call I’ve made. And I’ve made a lot of phone calls and requests. He arranged our meetup at the water bus station, was waiting there to help us with our heavy, large pieces of luggage and took us to his most charming, huge but very cozy place. We did not want to leave. He took a long time explaining to us everything about Burano, about the Airbnb and everything we need to know to get from point A to point B. He took the time to plan our departure se we won’t be late getting to our train. Again helped us with the luggage during departure. I just really love his place. Excellent value, do not think twice booking this place. I will definitely be back at Burano and will only book a property that Filippo manages.
Set just 12 km from Scuola Grande di San Rocco, Ca' Torcello offers accommodation in Venice with access to a restaurant, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. The lady who manages the B&B is awesome. While I know no Italian and she knows no English we did very well. The place is beautiful but you must be comfortable with steps. It is a lovely walk from the water taxi and the garden is fabulous. If you want to sit and read or write it is fabulous and also very nice to come home to.
A place I’ve wanted to visit for years, and it was even more beautiful in person! If you’re there to take photos, my main tip would be to get up and go for a walk around 7am - it’s so peaceful and serene at that time. Definitely go to Suzo for a hot chocolate too!
Not anything like Venice. Village closes down by 8-8:30 pm. Quiet retreat after hectic, crowded Venice. At the ferry stop by the Venissa Wine Resort across the bridge to the island of Mazzorbo we enjoyed lunch at Alla Maddalena. You will too.
Burano is a picturesque island loved all the colours and the canals. Very busy and bustling during the day with lots of visitors but quite and tranquil at night. lots of places to eat but they all close early so eat before returning to the island if not getting back before eight. Great base for exploring Venice and the lagoon boats run hourly all night the night boat was great and super fast. lots to do in the area to suit all the family from beaches to culture nothing was more than 90 minutes away. we found travelling buy boat super relaxing.
Burano was a colourful experience. Interesting shops, wonderful restaurants ( must try Trattoria Gato Nero!), amazing little canals and friendly, friendly laid back people! Lots of history, a seven minute ferry ride to visit Torcello, home to the oldest basilica in the Venice lagoon. Climb the bell tower for a spectacular view.
Burano is amazingly beautiful, but off the beaten path. You need to take a water bus for 45-90 minutes every time you want to get there, and once there, to go anywhere else in Venice. Tourists arrive during the day in droves, and then leave in the evening, at which point the town is peaceful and lovely. Expect to take care of anything like SIM cards or other arrangements in Venice; services are limited. If you can't live without everything at your fingertips, you'll get along better in Venice proper. If you want to get away from the chaos, it's a little paradise.
Burano is a lovely place where you can explore and live the full experience as a proper Italian. People will always smile at you and make sure you’re happy and enjoying your trip! You can easily walk to other places like Mazzorbo, which is another lovely and charming little place. I definitely recommend spending some time there!
