Located 5.6 mi from Domus de Maria, Faro Capo Spartivento offers a unique opportunity to stay at a working lighthouse. It has 2 outdoor pools, a restaurant and an underground cinema. Amazing secluded location with spectacular sea view and sunsets, courteous service, and top notch food. This is a wonderful getaway. The hotel is very beautiful and rooms tastefully decorated. You can hike through some rugged terrain to some secluded pebbly beaches or hike down the path the other direction to Cala Cipolla, a nice sandy beach. The pools are very nice as well. Servers were very polite and friendly, especially Andrea--we really enjoyed chatting with him! We also got some suggestions for other places to visit from another server/concierge, and they also helped us extend our stay and arrange laundry service. We really appreciated everyone being so accomodating.

Really nice apartment and Sabrina was a great host. She recommended some great beaches su Gieddu, Colonia which are no more than 10mins drive. Also gave us a great tip for a great restaurant in Cagliari. I recommend Azienda Agricola for hand made local cheeses. Next to that is also a great fruit and veg place at the side if the main road with parking.
If you like warm clear blue water, and white sand then Chia has some of the prettiest beaches in Europe. This does mean it gets pretty busy in season, but we always manage to find a spot on a beach somewhere. Restaurants are regularly full, so booking the previous day is advised. Also be aware of the traffic jams during the beach exodus in the evenings, and either leave earlier, or much, much later.
The beaches are as beautiful as those of the Caribbean. I enjoyed greatly and was pleasantly surprised by the crystal clear and calm sea waters with the right temperature, the excellent weather of the place, the lack of humidity, and the beauty of the scenery and beaches in general. Gorgeous place! I loved Chia!
It's a bit of a drive to get to from the major airports but we were told that the area had the best wild beaches (which means basic amenities if any when you find them along the windy roads). Our preferences, with fewer people enjoying the secluded beaches. Best to have a cooler box and sun shades to find the best remote locations; of course there will be busy beaches in the area but we would purposely avoid.
Chia in November is very different to all the classic pictures of the Mediterranean. October/November is “off season” and while that allowed us to have a very authentic “non-touristy” experience, a lot of things were closed. This didn’t spoil our enjoyment of the area, but it is something to be aware of. Also, Chia is very windy at that time of year - great for water sports but terrible for snorkelling, as the winds whip up the water into waves. Some beaches were absolutely covered (as in, walls 3ft deep at the shoreline!) in seaweed - don’t let this deter you, because if you keep driving round the coast, the shape of the coastline means the next bay maybe nothing it sand. However, the countryside is rugged and beautiful, and the locals are charming and welcoming. I recommend hiring a car and driving the coastal road between Chia and Porto Pino - the views are incredible.
Beautiful drives along the coast with the panorama of emerald waters, stunning coastline and beaches. Very difficult to pinpoint a favourite beach but I would say Tuerredda is there at the top next to Su Giuddeo. Restaurants such as Mirage and Osteria di Cadadie are worth recommending.

This apartment has great sea view, nice terrace with table and chairs. We found all appliances that are needed for our short stay including kitchen and kitchenware, washing machine, many towels. The beach is in 25 minutes walk. Tip: you can use free parking near the main road and then have 10 minutes walk to the beach. The nearest beach is nice, not crowded, you can see flamingos while walking to the beach.
Great location, close to the most beautiful beaches of the south Sardinia. Bar, market and pizzeria/restaurant at walking distance. The apartment was nicely decorated Sardinian style, comfortable and fully furnished with all we needed. The staff is very friendly and made us feel like home.

+ The apartment was bright and friendly. + We had a parasol for the beach (it would be fine a foot for it for the terrace). + The interior decoration was stylish and new. + It was possible to check out later.
Excellent service from the reception, restaurant and bar team. Super clean, nice and calm - would definitively go again. I can recommend this location and the hotel.

Location was beautiful, very close (5 minutes walk) to the most beautiful beaches in southern Sardinia. Host Luciana was very helpful and kind, even though she didn’t speak English, always found the way to communicate mostly through her son. House was basic, but clean with all what we needed. We would come back.
