Hotel Torre della Vittoria 1928, Princess Art Hotel, and Hotel De Prati got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Ferrara.
Loved the feel of the city and the friendliness of the people. We stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed it although the weather could have been kinder. Lots of great touches - our hotel laid on a free buffet and drinks ahead of a concert; all the cafes seemed to provide complimentary biscuits/nibbles and everywhere we went was reasonably priced. Lots of people on bikes but unlike back home they all seemed to be ambling along reflecting a great pace of life. Plenty to explore and we intend to return soon.
I recently visited Ferrara, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with what I experienced. The city appeared to be in poor condition, with litter and debris visible in many areas. The city's overall appearance could be greatly improved with more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. In addition, I found the gastronomical scene to be lacking. There were not many options available, and the quality of the food was not up to par with other Italian cities. This is a shame. Overall, I must say that Ferrara was one of the worse Italian cities I have ever visited.
My tip is to buy the MyFE card, which allows to visit all main museums for 20€ in two days (and saves you the tourist tax). Also, the Jewish Museum and the Jewish Cemetery (with the tomb of writer Giorgio Bassani) are not to be missed)
Great place to walk and cycle around. All places of interest on the map worth visiting, as is just walking the historic streets. Eat at Trattoria Il Mandolino , watch them make pasta, enjoy their hospitality and eat some of the best local food you could want. First come first served no reservations. Also for fine dining and magnificent friendly service Antica Trattoria Max
Ferrara is a beautiful wonderful town with great sights and history. It is a bit off the beaten tourist track and there is a very healthy town life, with a bustling passeggiata in the evening and locals on bicycles or on foot chatting with each other. Much of the central part of town Is closed to traffic.
The town is not as beautiful as I thought, the food is terrible (again- my taste) except for gellato, Grom gellateria is the best in the world! The pasta and the pizza are overrated here (two sauces I tasted were so overly heavy for digestion, I had better pasta and pizza in other cities and countries). Again - my taste. Prices are ok, not expensive! Someone might enjoy meals here.
Ferrara
We did a short stay in Ferrara, just one night and we were nicely surprised with the very convenient location, just in the middle of the old town, far enough from the main streets and market to enjoy silence when windows open. Interior design is pretty nice, and if you ready to share dining room and terrace with others guests you are going to like it. The bathroom (also to share with others) is very clean and impressively big and comfort.
location was brilliant, only a 5 min walk into the old centre of Ferrara, and a 10 min bus ride to the train station. It was a perfect place to stay for the New Year’s Eve festivities when Ferrara was very busy. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfort. The breakfast was a lovely selection of fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, pastries and cakes, served in a quiet, charming dining room.
I wasn't planning a stay in Ferrara, but I was towed to the town after my car broke down. This was the closest hotel to where I was left by the tow truck, so booked in. The staff were amazing. Really helpful and way more help than my insurance company! The room was comfortable and the breakfast great. I have a pretty low opinion of Italian hotels, but this one is really good, especially for the money.
Ferrara
I especially liked the location and the staff. They were so kind to my little dog, and they allowed me to store my bag the day of checkout. Very nice! The shared bathroom and room were simple but had everything necesary and were very clean. It was a nice stay and i definitely recommend it to someone who just wants a clean, dog friendly and safe place to sleep in beautiful Ferrara.
Quiet room kettle good bathroom Very good location close to all attractions but a very quiet street and we found free parking next to the entrance easy to navigate to the hotel common areas are very nice antique furniture and elegant nice outdoor common area with tables near the breakfast room so you can eat inside or outside Beware of mosquito
The rooms are very cozy, although the furniture is oldie, the cleaning products that the hotel provides are excellent and have a great smell, the breakfast is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and the staff is more than friendly. I'm sad we where in a hurry and didn't get to stay more than a night, but I definitely recommend this place!
Ferrara
The best place I have stayed in Italy! In the heart of Ferrara, perfectl for sightseeing, yet quiet and comfortable. Beautiful building of the casa Minerbi overlooking the old garden and have the remains of frescoes from the 14th century (I love it!!). I really hope I can come back here someday.
Annunziata is really an extraordinary hotel! The rooms are very finely decorated. The hotel manager Zeno and his staff are extremely helpful to support holiday planning in Ferrara and around. Also Annunziata offers the best breakfast I ever enjoyed in Italian hotels.
Location is very central, the hotel is modern and comfortable, spacious room, very clean, comfortable bed, good WiFi connection. We would certainly stay in this hotel again when back in Ferrara. Highly recommended.
Ferrara
Complimentary coffee at breakfast, excellent location (direct access from the train station by bus #11, only a minute from downtown), and good cleanliness. The hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly.
Lots if room to spread outside inside, but also the lovely garden to sit in as well. Perfectly located in the historic center if Ferrara; we could walk everywhere!
Very nice hotel in the centre of Ferrara. Comfortable large room, kind staff and great breakfast with fresh pastries. Great price/value ratio.
Very friendly staff, a lovely Hotel, a charming, clean room, and the opportunity to borrow the hotel’s bikes in order to explore Ferrara!
Great location in the heart of Ferrara’s old center. Bear in mind that the area is ZTL meaning only residents can excess by car.
